I just did my livescan. The deputy told me it should take anywhere from 4 - 7 months to complete. He said to be patient.

To anyone who has been issued a permit in solano county - do they actually sit you down for an interview? Or is your "good cause" statement and your background check replace your interview?

Ill be moving to Solano soon coming from Sac county, all these updates is looking very promising for myself to get a permit. Sac county is such a breeze.

Do you have one in sac? Does it transfer when you move, or do you need to apply for a new one? Solano seems to issue them, but expect it to take at least 9 months from your initial application. You may even have to wait a while to get that initial application appointment as well b

From what i understand it is not transferable. I have to notify my issuing agency 10 days before i move

Just adding my renewal time frame in case someone was interested. This was my second 2 year renewal in Solano County:

03.03.15 - Contacted Baptist Security for required training
03.07.15 - Completed renewal training with Baptist Security
03.09.15 - Left voicemail message with Kellie Sayre at Solano Sheriff's Office
03.11.15 - Returned call from Ms. Sayre
03.17.15 - Appointment to submit completed renewal application, money orders, proof of residency, and target package from Baptist Security.
03.25.15 - Surrendered old CCW license (hard card and rice paper) and was issued new rice paper license.

The officer warned me that the review by the DOJ would take 4-6 months.
