With regards to is More is a good sheriff or a good politician . I would have to say he is an all to typical politician . He plays it safe thinks he knows whats good for his subjects . I would like to compare San Joaquin county and Stanislaus county .Both have ben ravaged by gangs , meth, and the collapse in the economy . The major cities in both counties rank in the top 10 for the most violent crime cities in the country . San Joaquin county with More as sheriff has always been very stingy with issuing ccw's If you were not connected you were denied or issued a permit with so many restriction it was useless. He only started to issue permits to the general populace after the Peruta decision and he was running against an opponet in the last election who said he was going to issue more ccw's. Stanislaus county has Adam Christisan as sheriff he has been sheriff 8 years and has been issuing permits to anyone who does not have a criminal record basically it is a shall issue county from the time he was elected . Stanislaus county has more than 6000 permits issued and the sheriff has said publicly that he has not regretted issuing a single one . There has never ever been an article in the local liberal anti gun paper detailing some one using a legally carried gun in a crime or wrongly . I don't know how many lives have been protect in Stanislaus county because of the use of a legally carried gun . Because of the way the local paper covers it . But the people of all of California should have the right to decide for themselves . It is frustrating I live in San Joaquin work in Stanislaus

What about age? Does anyone think a twenty something year old would be looked at more in depth, than say a 57 year old (me)? Just wondering if maturity has a role.

So sad that my AZ non resident took only 6 weeks yet I am quickly approaching 6 months for my San Joaquin county resident CA permit. Oh well... Back to sitting on my hands...
