Does anyone have the answer to this question? Since the recent decision on the 90 days (processing of applications) what does it mean for those of us well past the 90 day mark?

    Thanks

Had my appointment in December. I'm not sure whether I should consider 6-7 months for a decision or now perhaps they are going to aim for 90 days after the most recent decision. My meeting went fine and the officer was very personable.

Again why do we have to wait this long . If it took this long to get a marriage license , or building permit or anything else from the county we would not put up with it . People need their permits to protect themselves .If you can buy a handgun you have already proven that you are not a prohibited person . If you have a handgun safety card you know how to operate it .If it is good enough for the state I should be good enough for the county .

Patiently waiting but confident since Utah thought we were clear...
Applied for Oregon CCW (have second home there). App process took 20 minutes (paperwork, photo and fingerprints) Told to expect CCW in mail in two weeks.
Hope to get Oregon within two weeks, Got Utah in 5 weeks. Interviewed in CA 27 weeks ago still no word. The irony.

I had mine taken when I had my initial interview in early April. They took it again when I went to pick up the CCW and used the newer one.

mojoe24. On my initial interview day, the Cadet working the PSD reception desk put my personal information up on the white board in the investigators area (name, CDL, DOB), had me stand to the side of the information, then snapped a pic of me. That pic (headshot only) was laminated at the bottom right corner of my CCW, and my thumbprint on the bottom left corner.

I interviewed 4/30, maybe they changed the process based on the high level of applications and turn downs. I was only describing how it went for me.

They told me all I needed was a copy of my business licence when I received my follow up phone call about my employers carry policy. I was approved with that information.

I picked up my CCW today. I arrived at the PSD at 0900 and left at 10:10. I would like to provide a couple of tips based on my experience today:

*** Bring your Certificate of Completion for your 16 hour course, even if you have submitted it prior. They will only take the serial numbers of the 3 guns from your certificate for your permit. This is the MOST SIGNIFICANT TIME SAVER!!

*** Bring a CHECK for the $75 balance due. It is what they EXPECT, and it makes things quicker.

*** Be patient! The investigator has to HAND TYPE your Gun Serial numbers and descriptions on an actual typewriter while you wait (if you don't know what that is, go ask your dad.) You've waited this long, another 15 minutes is not going to kill you.

*** Your permit has the picture they took on your first interview day, so no need to wear a tie, but still you shouldn't look like a "scrub" (it is the Professional Standards Division after all.)

*** 2 Thumbprints, so skip the lotion.

For those who are following along: Interview date 04/30 CCW pickup 12/02 7 Months, 2 days. Be patient everyone!
