Thanks Brandon. Hopefully we are close to being able to apply, with some level of confidence of actually getting an unrestricted permit without any dancing through rings of fire, etc.?

Not to jump the gun, but will those of us that have already been denied just have to reapply?

Brandon, since I was accepted but with restrictions what should I do? I have not taken or signed up for my ccw class as of yet because I'm not sure if I want to do all this just so I can carry to and from work.

Do I have a chance at all of getting my application "re-evaluated" once you guys are done with your reform? If I just wait on taking my ccw class what will happen? Do I have to pay all the fees again to submit a new application? Any help would be much appreciated.

If the finances are not an issue, then I'd suggest going ahead with the process. Having one is a significant improvement over not...

When i read that SJSO is issuing permits "with restrictions", it makes me wonder what these restrictions may be. Can anyone say what these restrictions are or might be? If the restrictions include anything like not being able to carry within 1000 ft of a school, I'll violate that restriction just by walking out my front door.

Mainly business purpose restrictions, e.g. "to and from the business banking institution".

If you have heightened good cause (e.g. business), then you can apply and expect a restricted CCW.

                      Brandon,
I had part of my GC as business related and, not even a restricted license, so that doesn't even make any sense.
so what now ??? Any ideas ? sitting here waiting .......

A "business related" GC isn't a guarantee, it just means you run the risk of approval w/ restrictions. So far it seems the only approvals have been for business related GC, yet all have restrictions.

I say we just flood the SO with applications. Get denied? Apply again. F this guy. Tie up every waking minute with interviews. Im so sick of his attitude. As we speak, businesses in stockton are closing their doors due to police not responding to calls for help. Moore (and stockton pd) can't protect his citizens. FAIL. He won't allow them to protect themselves. FAIL. This guy is an all around failure.

Sheriff Moore, you are a tyrant.

DOS approach won't hurt the Sheriff but will hurt some ongoing work. However, there is some more info coming soon. SJ residents, prepare to focus your frustrations...
