Two confirmed denials were given over the last two weeks that were brought to my attention. They were both related to GMC. IMHO neither of them lacked GMC. I really cannot go further into detail but thought I would throw it out there.

I have a friend that interviewed 4/10 no call no denial yet. I was 4/9 and got mine weeks ago. Seems weird not to at least have that initial call. He is a different color. Is there some funny business going on?

I have pretty much every little detail but A. do not feel it is my place to share them and B. do not want to jeopardize any action that is taken to rectify the situation buy putting too much info out there. I will say that I put the people in contact with the right people. One of the people I know on a personal level and the other is a friend of a friend.

Good Moral Character. The denial said that their "Moral Character was not to the standards of San Joaquin County".

I am not sure that they will appeal. It depends on whether or not the CGF folks get back to them in time and what they feel should be done. I personally would sue the sheriff for defamation of character

That would be a waste of time. The sheriff didn't publish the statement about your friends. You did. The sheriff only communicated his subjective determination (basically his own opinion, not necessarily presented as an objective fact) to your friends. He didn't communicate anything about your friends to any third parties.

Interviewed on 4/9. Got approval call 2 weeks ago. Training this past weekend and picked up my permit on Tuesday. They are still approving but I would count on a 5+ month wait.

In SJC, are we allowed to enter on the application any handgun we legally own? Is it correct that some counties are disallowing SSE pistols? I just picked up a Glock 42 and Ruger LCP, it would suck if I won't be able to use them as CCW.

A friend of mine got a call today asking for a copy of his firearm policy at work. We both interviewed on 4/30, but he went an hour after I did. I haven't gotten a call yet, but I'm hoping to hear from them soon.

I called to check in, and was told that they hired 3 more part time investigators, so hopefully things will start picking up.
