I would think that revoking permits already issued simply because the parameters of what constitutes "good cause" has changed would open Mr. Moore to a flood of lawsuits. Rather, should Peruta be over turned, I think that more than likely the good Sheriff of Nothingham would simply return to his old ways of granting CCWs to wealthy land and business owners in his constituency and not renew the permits issued to the middle class for lack of "good cause."

Almost sounds like they are intentionally dragging their feet in hopes that the law changes. That sucks...

Doesn't allowing us to do the live scan count as a preliminary approval? That is we were approved with our good cause and as long as no surprises pop up we are ok. That's why sac county does the app then wait about 30 days then has you do a live scan.

No. All previous denials were post livescan.

Pardon my ignorance, but in light of all the 2A wins in courts across the country lately (a few being along the lines of the Peruta decision), is there really a substantial possibility that this decision gets overturned?

That's the million dollar question, but given that we're talking about the 9th Circuit here, all bets are off.

I hear you, but since the 9th circuit made the initial decision, and similar pro-2A legal precedence is being set throughout the US, it just doesn't seem likely. Hasn't the amount of time to appeal Peruta closed as well? I hope I'm not wrong, but I just can't see how this decision will get overturned.

Could someone that is a first time applicant give me a breakdown on what the exact cost was. How much did you pay when you applied (please break down livescan and application fees)? How much did you pay when you picked it up?

I can not remember how much it was when I originally applied but to reapply was $52 when I applied and $25 when I picked it up. I really need to know what the current first time fees are though. I will dig out my file tonight and see what mine was 3 years ago...

                    Ranger,

It is $19 to start the application (20% of permit cost)

                    $128 for live scan.

$76 (balance of permit cost) to pick up when/if approved.

Thank you. So it looks like those reapplying pay a dollar more. For some reason I thought I paid more originally but it turns out I did not.

They are slow, but they are coming.
