Last night I started reading the first pages of this thread.
There was talk of a 90 day deadline that the sheriff has to respond to the ccw applications.
Anybody have a link to the explanation of that or just a quick layman's terms explanation?
What changed that we are now over a year?

Got my call today......364 days from my turn in date...But I am very troubled. They want a note from my doctor about my phsycological and physical conditions. I have asked my doctor about this before while I've been waiting for "the call" and she is very opposed to the second amendment and guns in general and maid no attemp to censer herself while chastising me for even bringing it up... I made a appointment with her to get the required answers for the SJSD anyways, but I have very little to no hope now. I was kind of hoping I would only have to go and see there psychologist, but it is what it is. I do wish all of you still waiting the best of luck....
And just a heads up... He did ask me if I had a medical marijuana card, my answer was "no" and the next question was "have you ever had a medical marijuana card" my answer was still "no"... I don't do drugs nor do I drink so no biggie to me and I didn't bother to ask what bearing that has on the application process, but it seemed important.

Find a new Dr, you don't need negativity like that in your life! Lol
I would ream that Dr's ***!
The Dr is not there to push her personal beliefs on the patients.
I'd find a new Dr if she couldn't answer the questions fairly & honestly without injecting personal beliefs into the mix.

The interview call, he asked if I had a med card too. No biggie to me, never done any kind of drugs.......

This waiting is getting old.
They tell you 6-8 months initially, but it is a year plus.
When the interview call comes, he told me, I would hear back in a week. Going on 13 days and counting.....

Pro 2nd amendment doctors

If anybody knows of pro 2nd amendment doctors they should post names so people can change doctors. I have my ccw already and didn't need a doctors note so I don't know my doctors opinion. Let's help each other out on this so doctors don't prevent our rights for their own agenda.

Ceecee, why do you think they are requesting a dr. note? Is their anything about your application or background that you could think of that would warrant additional documentation from your doctor? Or do you think they are starting to reqiure this from everyone? Has anyone else had to do this as well? Thanks

Didn't ask it of me.
The interviewer did ask if I ever had any mental problems, or been treated for mental health issues.....

As long as this is taking, I am expecting a denial or some issue to come up.........
Going to be pissed if I get a denial letter. Lot of money invested in this process!

I called the Sheriff's office, I asked how long the current wait time is between receiving "the call" and getting a approval or denial.
She said two weeks, up to a month......
Getting really irritated with this circus!
The guy that called, said I'd hear back in a week, when I called on day 9 the girl said a little over a week. Now it's two weeks to a month?
Rediculous!
Glad I pushed work away leaving my schedule open so I could be available to jump through any hoops they required......

It took 2+ weeks from when I got "the call" to actually getting another call that I can pick up. Also remember you can pick up only on certain days, I think Wednesday? I cannot remember.

You have waited almost/over a year. What's a few more weeks?

You must not have the kind of demand that they do. I guess you could always take your business to your local police chief, though. A little competition might be good for the CCW permit industry here in California.
