Does anybody know if denials come by mail? Or do they tell you over the phone?
I have very low expectations based on my last 2 weeks of interviews.

Well there is hope for us "April 16ers"...
I received a call from an investigator today with questions about employment/address/etc.
I'll update once I hear anything further:
Interview: 4/16/14 @ 10AM

Ask for an "Employee Handbook" first. The weapons policy should be listed. If you work for a small company, you might have to ask your boss. I have heard through this thread that they are putting the statement "Not allowed to carry at work" on most approved CCW's.
But, until I get mine...Last edited by mkwtsn; 10-20-2014, 12:02 AM.Leave a comment:

What are the repercussions of asking for an employer's firearm policy?Leave a comment:

And some are getting the cement door slammed in their faces for no reasons.
Because Sjso is not asking for references. They are hunting their own!!! To deny you.Leave a comment:

I have had similar thoughts though in their defense, I have met some people that have applied and never heard of cgn. I have introduced several people to CGN and told them to check out this thread.
On another note, I was told that a whole lot of anti gunners applied in the early days of this to clog up the process. I was told that is why they moved up so many appointments, because a lot of people were not showing up and canceling last minute. I don't know if it is true or not but...Leave a comment:

That caught my attention too, but I'm guessing there are a lot of lurkers out there that probably only login to check the status of this thread. My buddy who applied 4/30 (not a Calguns member) got approved last week, and I expect to get my final approval phone call on Monday or Tuesday (I also applied on 4/30). I also have 3 other non-Calguns aquaintances that have been approved as well (Applied 2/28 & 4/16).Leave a comment:

Yes. I described it above. The people that were denied could not figure out what the SJSO had an issue with in terms of GMC. In both cases there was no criminal record or prior moving violations.
In my case I had one speeding ticket about 3 years ago and was approved.Leave a comment:

Does anyone know of someone being denied because of not having good moral character. And if so what was it . Anyone denied because of anything criminal , speeding tickets anything?Leave a comment:
