I'm new to this forum and found out about the updates for SJC CCW permit talking to some guy's I meet two day's ago. I called the last week of April 2014 for an interview with an investigator and was schedule May 02, 2014. To this day I haven't heard back from them. I'll keep you'll posted on what happens next.

Since my employer's weapons policy is well known and was discussed during my interview, I hope this step is skipped when my app is finally processed...

04/30 CCW interview at SJSCO PSD
10/09 First contact. Lots of questions about my employers weapons policy. Detective asked for a copy of the policy from the handbook. I scanned in the policy and sent it. Also he asked some questions about my background, volunteer activities, etc.

I was wrong about my employers weapons policy, it is far more restrictive than what I told the investigator. When I scanned the policy and sent it to him, I clarified that I clearly did not know how restrictive it is, and that I plan to fully adhere to the policy.

I did not feel any of the questions were out of line, I am happy the SJSCO hired more investigators to work in the PSD, and it seems like the process should be picking up.

    Good luck to everyone.

I'm optimistic that will change in the next 30 days as I am seeing end of April and a beginning of May have been approved and issued.

155 days = 65 days over what they told me in the interview.
I was 5/9 so hopefully we both here soon

San Joaquin - *** TIME TO APPLY!!! ***

My buddy was adding an SSE gun to his permit. They called him to confirm the details of the gun and the caliber because the DROS showed "888" for the caliber which means multi caliber since the shop put 25,9 on the DROS. They still skeptically approved it.

A restriction on carrying at your home?
