A good shoot is a good shoot. A reasonable amount of alcohol in your system is not going to change that.
Your permit is not required in your home, so there would be no legal violation in drinking and carrying in your home.
The circumstances MAY cause the county to suspend or revoke your permit... I don't know.

As long as it was a good, clean, justified shooting, I would not be overly concerned about prosecution, particularly in this county.
You will need a good attorney to handle the civil case... but that is going to be the case anyways.
A lot of people are overly worried about criminal prosecution... it is not likely if the shooting is clearly justified, even in counties that are not permissive on CCW. The prosecutors still know the law, and they know the law is on the side of self defense.

I wasn't even talking about "carrying" or with a permit. I have just always thought about that in general. It was just more a come home from work, put on my jammies, grab a beer, eat dinner, watch tv or a movie, bad guys break in....

and you're right... I am one of those that are over concerned because of how kommiefornia is

I went to the sep 4th renewal class. Just dawned on me that we never discussed how we would receive our new card.
          Anyone know?

Also did anyone else laugh when the guy bragged about brandishing his firearm to the instructor?

If it was not handed to you at the end of class (those very close to expiration usually get it then), it will go out snail-mail.

I went to the Apple Valley PO yesterday to get my money orders for the class and range, I didn't say what or who they were for but when I gave the amounts the clerk just smiled and said, "Must be class day."

About how many people are in each range day class? I guess I will pick up or make a sandwich tonight and bring a cooler with a few water bottles. I will have 3 guns. I am worried a bit about the LCP as it shoots low and apparently they want the rounds to be above the number line of the silhouette? Such tiny sights on that gun. Maybe I will shoot it last since I do well with the other two.

There are somewhere between 75 and 160 people in class. If there's a small class you will do the classroom part first and then the range time in the afternoon.

If they're running a double class; half will do the classroom part and the other half will do the range time in the morning. When all are done they will flip flop.

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Are legally owned high caps permitted for use in qualification? Read that someone was called out for bringing 10+ rounder to the July class.

I don't know, sorry - but I am not going to bring any of mine. I have 10 rounders for all my guns even if I have pre-ban standard capacity mags for some.

There is road work being done on Cajon Blvd leaving loose gravel.
Rave event at GHP so expect some traffic late in the day on both the 15 and 215 in that area.

If I drive past GHP that afternoon, do I have to report that I inhaled pot on my next renewal?

The course was actually fun. The officer conducting the class kept it light and entertaining. We started about 8 AM and the course was over at about 11:15. About half went to the range first while we were in class. Then we switched. The gun inspection took a while, so I had a chance to grab my sandwich while waiting. The shooting part was good, though it took a while to get everyone done. They started with the people who just had one gun on their list, then those with two and ended with those of us with three guns. I was in the last group, and they had us do head shots. They were lenient on the scoring for that - if your group was about basketball size, they were okay with it. We were done by about 2:15 PM and traffic was not bad on the 215 North.

Ya, the targets start getting pretty chewed up.
They really aren't looking for your hits inside the target area... they are just looking for no more than 2 NEW holes OUTSIDE of the target area

I knew that, but didn't know you were "allowed" 3 hits outside the target area.
