        Hi everyone.
I found a lot of information for CCW in here...
Just pick up a application this morning and need some advice for #5 question: Are you now, or have you been ,a arty to a lawsuit in the last five year? if yes please explain.
I have a car accident that someone hit me at the back at Jan this year, I have my lawyer contact the other's insurance company. The case still not close yet. I have to mark yes or no on the #5 question ? also said bring the guns you want for ccw for inspection is that mean you bring them when you go to the interview? Thanks in advanced.

Yes and yes. They will ask you about lawsuit, no big deal. Bring the (up to three) guns you want on permit, locked up/unloaded.

I noticed a post in another thread, written on 12/31/13:

This is good news as now there's no references and no local PD letter required.
Can anyone confirm that San Bernardino is no longer requiring a denial from your local PD first? I've been wanting to apply for my CCW, but didn't like having to jump through the hoops the local PD insisted on just to deny me.

Came to my interview today detective Michael asking me the denial letter from Ontario PD in the beginning which I have it handy and give it to him, so to answer ACEofspade they did not asking me when I pick up the packet but I think they will ask at your interview require or not I have no ideal
                    To more detail
First he ask me to fill out and sign couple of pages similar as the packet, during that time he checking your guns then at the interview he just asking the same questions from the packet and mention that he used to work as mechanic as me...and advise to find a lawyer + insurance even you have to 100% right to defend yourself then you still get sue.
The whole time of interview was ok it last like 20 minutes then he gave the request for live scan form got my fingers printing + took a picture then I went back to the person at the front desk for another finger printing and they give your guns back to you with a paper with information for CCW Firearm safety class and told me wait for their call for the class. I asked how long for the wait she answer: about 2 months.
I have questions for those been interview recently before me.
In the information paper of the class with the new sheriff logo , the location list at Sheriff Firearms Training Center ,Classroom E 18000 West Institution Road San Bernardino instead the AVGC like before? Can someone confirm which one is the correct location for the CCW & Safety Class?
How long is it take for their call for the class?
Finally the whole thing went well for me. I am there at 9 am and out at 10:20am.

They use multiple locations for the class, when they call they will tell you which location.

Thanks for the info. That jives with what the lady on the phone at the Employee Resources office told me when I called last week and asked if a rejection letter was still required from the local PD. She said told me that yes, I would need to bring in a denial letter.

If anyone is curious what your boss or employer gets in the mail when you apply for CCW.

They get whats pictured below, a copy of a the notarized form you turned in during interview. And they get an envelope for return no stamps required.

Pictures kinda big so here's the link

Lets hope your boss or employers don't hate you or are anti self-defense.

I wonder what happens to students or unemployed?

I called Sarah on Thursday to sign up for the renewal class, and I asked about modifying to drop/add guns on the license. I was disappointed to learn that I can't do it at the same time as the renewal, that mods are a seperate process. I will have to renew my license, wait for it to arrive, then modify it, and wait again for it to arrive.
