Wait. It's been over a year and you haven't heard back?! I thought the process was about 8 months !

So did I. I heard all these great things about the process in SB but so far it's been disappointing. In OC it took about 2 1/2 months start to finish.

A year since your interview?
The process during 'normal' times is usually well under 8 months.
Covid has everything fouled up.

They'll get to you when they get to you. Dont sit by the computer waiting. Submitted my app in December of 2019, had my interview July of 2020 and still havent heard a word. Dont bother emailing because they dont reply.

Was your OC app done during a Covid pandemic?
During a HUGE up surge in gun purchases?
A surge in CCW apps?

My process was 9 weeks. Granted that was 26 years ago.
It just shows times change, process changes.

Yeah I was able to choose a date in July. Only reason I ask is because after I applied there was a prompt that said that if I didn't get a confirmation to call the employee resources phone number or something like that lol. But if we're all on the same boat, then I'm OK with that.

Today marks month 5 now after my initial interview back in Nov, going on month 6.

Has anyone gotten a response from SBSD that interviewed around this time? I know we are not supposed to bother them for 6 months (that's what the detective told me at the interview) so just curious if anyone has had contact with them in the same time period as me.

Got my renewal letter via email on the 1st.
Did the online classes last Sunday afternoon. Signed the attesform.
West End Gun Club Tuesday at 6 pm - Ding Dang cold! But quick, organized and straightforward.
Today to the Post Office for my money orders, then a cup.of coffee for the trip to turn in my renewal package.
