      No and no.

There is a roof over the staging area, but for shooting, you walk out to 5 yards from the targets (which are about 5-10 yards away from the backstop):

Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps.

The statute appears to require firing of ALL guns to be listed on the renewal permit.
26165. (a) For new license applicants, the course of training for issuance of a license under Section 26150 or 26155 may be any course acceptable to the licensing authority that meets all of the following criteria:
              (1) The course shall be no less than eight hours, but shall not be required to exceed 16 hours in length.
              (2) The course shall include instruction on firearm safety, firearm handling, shooting technique, and laws regarding the permissible use of a firearm.
              (3) The course shall include live-fire shooting exercises on a firing range and shall include a demonstration by the applicant of safe handling of, and shooting proficiency with, each firearm that the applicant is applying to be licensed to carry.
              (d) For license renewal applicants, the course of training may be any course acceptable to the licensing authority, shall be no less than four hours, and shall satisfy the requirements of paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a).

Like I said. As of right now only if changing.

SBSO is aware of the new laws and have said that they are in compliance with them.

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Hopefully the County is making a profit selling them to Caltrans.

I think I understand their interpretation:
26165. (a) For new license applicants, the course of training for issuance of a license under Section 26150 or 26155 may be any course acceptable to the licensing authority that meets all of the following criteria:

                    (3) The course shall include live-fire shooting exercises on a firing range and shall include a demonstration by the applicant of safe handling of, and shooting proficiency with, each firearm that the applicant is applying to be licensed to carry.

Since each gun listed on the permit was demonstrated when added, there is no reason that (3) does not continue in perpetuity for that specific gun.

There is an alternate route through Rosena Ranch but I don't know if they would use it for quals. We did use it for my initial class and in January of 17. I don't know how they would make the notification for a drop in type class.

That is an emergency access only. It isn't supposed to be open all the time.

Yeah, but back in 17 we all got emails with directions for the alternate route. They were wrong too but we all figured it out.

I called the office this morning to inquire about the range session for tomorrow.

They deputy I spoke with told me that if it's raining or has been raining they will cancel the session.

The next Saturday session is March 4th.
