        [QUOTE=jvcomet;19662994]

        Submitted Application 3/2016
        Interview 12/10/2016
        Residence Check 2/8/2017
        Notified I passed background 2/24/2017

        Now just need to make contact with Det. Logan to set up range date.

        If the wait wasn't so long from submitting the application to the interview this process wouldn't be so bad.

              Nice... they're really speeding up on the BG checks... or they're catching up on the backlog.
              My process began 5/15/15 and my range date was 1/2/16, but my interview was in August and BG took 4 months.

                It appears what they're gaining on the BG they're losing on the range dates.

                  Rubber band effect.... like tailgunning behind a bunch of new riders and one of the guys up front keeps tapping his brake.

                  The range time is indicative of the extended interview/BG delays last year, and the yuge increase following the SB terrorist attack.

                  This wave will pass and they will get back down to the 3-6 month total that they were down to before Peruta.

                  Losing Apple Valley also dumped another 20-40/month onto Devore, which was already maxed out at as many as 80 per class.
                  We're also getting the renewals from the Peruta increase.

                      does anyone have a link to San Bernardino or State CCW regulations? I'm looking to review prohibitions, requirements, etc, as it relates to carrying.

                            I have had a hard time too, if there was one thing in my classroom instruction I wish they would have provided it would be a handbook with clearly spelled out rules. I know the basics, but I wonder if there are things I am forgetting.

                                Can you point to or briefly outline it? I'm considering a move within the county fairly soon.
