Yes sir I have done that already. They're useless and can only help with technical issues regarding the website. Does anyone have any ideas who else i may call besides the sac sheriff office?

Try 6-9 months. If it's the livescan results they're waiting on, that's on DOJ. Be patient or contact SSD if your qual cert is near expiration. Then again, you weren't supposed to do that until after your livescan was returned.

Is this for your renewal, or initial application?
Have you been informed that you have cleared background?

Seriously... 3 months is nothing for initial application. San Bernardino, I applied in May 2015, my interview was in August, I was notified that I had passed BG in December (the day before the San Bernardino terrorist attack), my range qualification was Jan 2 and my permit was issued Jan 15.
That's 5 months from my interview and 8 months from application.

California is not Nevada or Arizona.

This will be my initial. Its been 3 months since I was approved to take my training course and uploaded all the documents. I'm going to give it until mid January to hear anything since it is the holidays and they are probably closed, then I'll just have to pay the sac sheriff office a visit.

Here is the link to the course of fire - you can also find it in the BSIS site.

Does anyone know of a range where I can do a walk-in range Qual in the Sacramento area? Wanting to add one to my ccw but would rather do a walk-in rather than waiting to tag along on a full ccw class and then have to stand around picking my nose until they are ready.

I've seen mods go through in approx 1-2 weeks, but you are correct that they are lower priority.

To the question, some ranges have dedicated CCW mod classes or they will just have you come in for the qual part. Call around. I think Best Handgun Training in Lincoln does that.

I thought I would put out this info on my recent renewal.

Monday Nov. 27 9 p.m.: Uploaded my info and required documentation.
Tuesday Nov. 28. 10 a.m.: Received email and robot phone call saying card is ready to be picked up.
Tuesday Nov. 28. 11:20 a.m.: Walked into the Hurley office.
Tuesday Nov. 28. 11:25 a.m.: Walked out of Hurley office with my new CCW.

                              Now, THAT is service!

Maybe dumb q but for some reason I can't find the answer anywhere. I think you can submit a CCW renewal no more than 45 days prior to the expiration of the prior permit. But for how long are the range quals good? I seem to recall something like 2-3 months, but the rules do change. Thanks in advance!
