To check for cancellations you type in your DL # and continue to verify your info and then the system will tell you if there are no appointments available or if there are availabilities show you a calender with the date(s) highlighted in green.

Just keep checking, at a minimum daily, hourly doesnt hurt though.

Well just had my initial appointment, it went smooth just took a little longer than the average of "in and out in 25 minutes". All in all I was there a little over an hour from check in to check out. One of the detectives said that the board will meet in 2 weeks. Fingers crossed.

There's a two story parking garage across the street. Pay on your way out (attended drive up booth).

Finally got my background check cleared. I took my prints on December 26th and just got it today. Now I have 60 days to take the 16 hour class and set my final appointment.

I wanted to take the Ammo Depot class but none of their dates work for me. Can someone recommend me another class/teacher that has openings this month or next? thanks.

Definately go to the garage. There are meters on the street but there certain times/days on certain streets when you cannot park and meter maids are always trolling.

LFIGuns.com highly recommend Wes. You can see a lot of feedback on him on this forum.
He does several classes a month including during the week and on weekends. There's a calendar on his site that tells what he has scheduled and you can contact him to join his email list to keep you up to date on classes he adds.

Um, on a whim, I just logged in to sign up for an appointment thinking it would take checking back for awhile before I got one. My appointment is for March 27th. I'm stoked!

I logged in just to second this recommendation. Wes' class is top notch. My girlfriend and I had a great weekend learning from him--shooting, practical life, and legal aspects of ccw. I have sent others his way too and all were happy.

Go to DMV and get a print out is the best way. Cheep and easy. Then you know for sure as well as maybe some you forgot about or are incorrect on your record.
