CCW Permit Time line Sac. County
12-20-2016 Initial application
01-31-2017 Interview
01-31-2017 Live Scan Done
05-12-2017 SSD Approval (no formal live scan approval) also requested new proof of residency, Live scan doc.& training and qualification certification.
05-12-2017 Uploaded new proof of residency and live scan doc.
06-05-2017 SSD e-mail requesting additional documents (Training and qualification certification).
06-11/12-2017 Completed Training
06-12-2017 Uploaded Training & Qualification Cert.
06-19-2017 Received e-mail with instructions to make final payment.
06-19-2017 Received payment conformation e-mail along with notice to wait for e-mail instruction on how and when to pick-up permit.
06-19-2017 On line Permitium system status was changed to “Complete”.
07-11-2017 Received pick up e-mail
07-13-2017. Picked up permit
DOJ phone still says "in process"Comment

How does one check to see if their livescan is complete? I did mine mid January. I was notified my application was approved and submitted requested docs, paid final fee and got conformation 5/25/17. It seems they don't want to take any questions or correspondence of any kind. How long do you wait before? I don't know what.Comment

I'm in the same boat. See my timeline above. Still waiting on the final pickup e-mail. My guess is your live scan is complete. They would not ask for final payment if it was not. I think it is a system issue. Hope they get it sorted out soon.Last edited by vtrick; 06-23-2017, 10:59 AM.Comment

You shouldn't be asked for the final fee unless LiveScan is completed.
Unfortunately, the phone system for checking is not working properly. I know of at least one person who already has a CCW issued, and the phone system still says that it is in process.Comment

Just starting the process here. I submitted my online application yesterday, and was prompted to make an appointment. First one available is in OCTOBER!,... seems much longer than what others here have experienced. Kinda disappointed that it's going to take so long just for interview. Sounds like things really are slowing down at Sacramento office.Comment

Gunhun. Not surprised that initial appointments are that far out.
Rumor has it that earlier dates pop up from time to time, so frequent checks on the schedule may get something.Comment
