    Mr. XXXXX,

I am researching the Single Shot Exempt pistols as we speak. I should have an answer soon regarding the ability to include SSE pistols on a CCW. This has been brought to my attention by several people. If we are able to continue allowing SSE pistols, I will remove the language from our written process.

You may do a modification to your existing permit to add the two additional firearms. Please understand that We cannot even begin issuing the plastic cards until January. I anticipate a very high demand for modifications in the coming months. Please be patient as we work through the list.
Who at SSD/CCW sent you this message? Thanks.

Doubtful that they will issue two different permit versions at the same time.

Once the system is in place all issues will be the new versions. Anyone who renews or mods after the new system is in place will get the new card as well.

I suspect a lot of us with the paper style will mod as soon as they open up mod appointments under the new system so we can have 5 weapon permits as well.

Any word on SSE situation? I gotan email saying they were reviewing SSE guns but haven't been able to get another response? Can somebody help me understand the re-DROS process? Will it work for SSE? Thanks.

Good info Mark.....gives me time to wait and consider what to put on my modification.

I talked to Eagle earlier this week, they are good to go. But 20 day wait till dros for total of 30 days. Some of the So Cal folks were having holds < 48 hrs till DROS.

If we can confirm they are going to allow modifications again, Just do an Oplaw transfer. Gun never leaves the house. Provided your partner has their HSC.
