Anyone buy a new gun and have it added to your current Permit. Was the qualification shorter at the range? How long did it take to receive the new permit?

I know for the holster if you go to Ben Clark they dont really care if the holster has a thumb snap or even if it is the right holster for the gun. As long as the gun will not fall out of the holster while walking there fine with it. As for the gold on the glock nope they wont care. They only check the trigger to make sure its not to light and functions correctly. I even had a guy in my class qual with a rmr on his gun. Riverside is pretty laid back and want people to qualify they will do what they can to get you to pass.

Renewal Pickup

Riverside Renewals - Got the email I'm approved and to pickup no sooner than 3-days prior to current license expiration. There was mention of mailing the license during the interview. Are you renewal folks picking up in person or having it mailed to you? If it's easier for the CCW Unit to mail it out, I'm ok with that as long as it arrives in time. So the question is, in person or mail??

Just so everyone knows, I talked to the sheriffs office and they told me that any gun no matter if its off roster or on roster, as long as it is purchased in CA and the DOJ registers it to your name it’s good to go on your CCW license.
I was also told that extended mag release is not allowed.

I currently have my CCW through OCSD. I’m thinking of selling my home and buying a place in riverside county. How difficult/ what is the acceptance rate of getting a Ccw in riverside county? Thank you

Riverside County is Just like OCSD. Extremely Pro 2 Amendment. Riverside extremely supportive and streamlined!

That is what the CCW unit officer told me, I asked if my guns could have an extended mag release and he said no. Maybe I will ask at my interview or qualification

I have Glock extended mag releases on my glocks. They passed inspection at Ben Clark without any discussion. Received my CCW in Riverside in December 2018.
