Maybe he misheard you as extended mag? Such as more rounds for a +2 base plate on a single stack?

Very unlikely it would need to be purchased in CA. When a new resident moves into CA, they fill out a form that registers their guns into AFS and it would be indistinguishable to one purchased in CA after that.

Doubt they have to be purchased in CA. All my Ccw guns for my OC Ccw were NOT purchased in Ca but have since then been legally put into my name. They are good to go per OCSD

Is it easier to do training and qualifications before your first interview? If so where is the best place to go?

Yes I would do it before the interview so it's done and out of the way. I did mine at Firearms Training Associates and would highly recommend it.

Okay thank you for the advice, I got an appointment July 13th for the course, he said I should wait on qualification until I pick up my 26 the 14th, then I can come back anytime the owner is there with my 19 and 26 to qualify. I am doing it at Riverside Indoor Shooting Range.

In a nutshell all is permissible, but the more you are modified the more lawyer fuel you potentially may bring on in the event of needing to deploy your weapon. I have an Apex trigger and extended mag releases on my Glock and the same trigger on my M&P Shield. They only check for trigger function and proper reset. The armorer even complimented my trigger choices... and this was just yesterday.

Great info here. Is it possible to list a rifle in Riverside County for CCW. I'm thinking more about loaded in the car vs. carrying on my person.

Don't know what to say about this one. First of all, if it is in the car it has to be concealed as well. The only way... is if we were an open carry State, which we are not.

Good luck. Let us know how that works for you.
