Yup...he was my "go to" regarding my case. I've sent in an email requesting who will be taking over his files. Hope to hear something back after the new year.

Some take a few days, some a couple weeks. A few have issues and can bog things down. Sounds like about a week is the current wait.

Has anyone received a renewal in the last few months? How long did it take between interview and re-issue? I still have about 1 month until mine expires but just curious what to expect since i know some people that did their initial interview after me, yet already go their license. Im sure renewals dont take priority until it gets closer to the expiration date but im just hoping it doesnt lapse on me.

I have my renewal appointment on Jan 8th that puts 6 weeks between interview and expiration date. My deputy said it's "plenty of time".

My last renewal was a little over 2 months between dates and my permit expired so I was naked for a week. There was Christmas and New Years that got in the way though.

                          CCW interview is Feb5th.
My DL still shows my previous address (permanent address, LA County), even though my DMV has been updated to my new address (Riverside county).

Do I need to order a new (duplicate) license?

My DL address is still linked to my permanent home in LA county, but I live in Riverside county.

Does this need to be modified to reflect my permanent residency in Riverside county?
                            Where do you actually live?

Go get an Identification card with your riverside address on it. My DL has a differant address so i went ti get a regular ID with my IE home address in it. After that you need 2 forms if proof of residence in the IE cable bill, mortgage, electric, etc..... then you should be fine.

Good idea, I think I could use this time as a reason to get the REAL ID.
I may move in the future which is why I haven't modified my DL yet.

For ID, I've been using my lease but I just recently retitled two vehicle so this address- could those supplement as well?
