Good idea, I think I could use this time as a reason to get the REAL ID.

I may move in the future which is why I haven't modified my DL yet.

For ID, I've been using my lease but I just recently retitled two vehicle so this address- could those supplement as well?
I used car reg, internet bill, w2 with attached pay stub as an extra just in case ine if the others didnt work. They only copied my car reg and specturm bill. Didnt even look anything else. As for the ID i just moved in to my new house but still renting my other house, so both addresses are still good but i didnt want ti renew my DL with 3yrs left so i ran out and got a regular ID. Works just fine

What is the cost to renew? Is it the same as the initial CCW?

for a permit nor is right for you to have to get letters of reference because
its no ones business if you wish to carry. The only requirements should be
passing a background check and passing a gun safety course and a shooting
            test.
I applied and a letter was sent to my employer, VP of engineering, resulting in her interrogating me with HR present and a corporate security manager. I thought everything went well, but three weeks later I was laid off. Not sure if it was related, but I am sure it did not help. My director told me later that he was not the one that identified me for layoff and that it was above him, hinting the VP of engineering made the decision which was not normal process as my direct manager and director normally identify who is laid off. No others were laid off as this was not part of a planned department wide event. I was told that they had merged my job requirements into a new position and I could apply for that position (off course I can!). My performance was not an issue as I make over 100% performance bonus every year and my evals are always outstanding.

So why did I not pursue a lawsuit for wrongful termination? It would effectively end my career and I am not ready to retire. Seen it too many times.

Anyway, it was a blessing in disguise as I took an engineering job in Seattle and had my CCW in less than a month from the time of application, fingerprinting and the $60 fee for a 5 year permit.

Wow, that's awful Hecker. How long ago was it that you applied?
I do know investigators are now sending applicants an 'Employer Notification of Application for CCW' even if employment is not specifically mentioned in the Good Cause.
It appears applicants are supposed to give that to someone at their place of employment for their input but as far as I know RCSD isn't sending it directly to the applicants place of employment.

                Your answer confused me.
I know of no one that has been refused.

The check list states that you need a copy of you DL and your Birth Cert. It also states you need two passport photos. What qualifies as passport photos if I don't have a passport? Where can I take these photos?

Thank you. Also, have we come to the conclusion that defense of myself, family, and property now suffice as 'good cause' or will something more detailed still be needed?

I am saying that Sniff issued more CCW permits than Bianco. Bianco is supposed to be better based upon his campaign promises but who really knows because he hasn't issued any yet.

Just like Trump, he was supposed to be Pro 2A but instead banned the bump stock. We won't know anything anyone takes office and puts their money where theirs mouths are..

That's all... Let's just hope for the best and prepare for the worst.. We have Gavin to worry about as well.

You have to fire a full mag (10 rounds in you have pre-ban mags) from 15 yards at two standard silhouette (NRA B-27) targets. You start from the low ready. 2 shots to the chest on one target, then 2 shots to the chest to the second. Repeat until you gun is empty.

You then move up to 10 yards and repeat the same process.

Last you move up to 7 yards. From this starting point the process is 2 shots to the chest and 1 to the head on the first target, then 2 shots to the chest 1 to the head on the second target. Repeat until your gun is empty.

You have to qualify with each gun that you want on your permit. Make sure you bring enough ammo. There are no restrictions on type of ammo you can shoot.

You need 70% hits on the target to pass. They also make you wear body armor (which they provide).
