Yup [emoji1474] I have my wife's M&P Shield on mine.

Good luck and get some carry insurance.

      - I learned lots of other useful info like the gun must be on my person while carrying, and not in the glove box.

Good class! Hope I get approved and get the permit.

Can I submit the renewal app before I take my class/qualify so I can get an interview date?

Yes; just upload your qualification sheet after you take class.

I heard the CCW Unit will now Live Scan you the day of your appointment. Just bring your rolling fee money.

Went to the RSO website and started the renewal. All went extremely well no glitches and everything needed is uploaded, paid my fee and set the interview date....

MARCH 29th 2021!!! I expire in February. Hopefully I can catch a cancellation.

Glad I saw the posts. This feels a lot like the initial app (2014) that took 8 months to get an interview. Yet, I'm very happy people are applying to carry. We need more out there!

On the bright side, I can wait until it cools off a little to do my qualification / class.

                      Starting my timeline;
                      Renewal app 09/07/2020
Email 09/08/2020 RivCo advising me to email 6 weeks before expiration
Set my training up with FTA for 11/6/2020
                      Appt 03/29/2021
Adding to my time line; I received an email from my assigned deputy. He told me to email him about 6 weeks before my permit expires and he would get me in. My appointment was scheduled for March 29th and my permit expires in February....

Good to hear they will accommodate you before expiration! Did you feel that the renewal application was as comprehensive as the initial application?

When it was paper, the renewal application is exactly the same as the initial app, just a check mark for renewal.

I've saved a copies of the app over the years and other than some small changes it seems to be the same. I had to re-upload my birth certificate and utility bills along with my drivers license.

Here’s the Application Form. It was combined in 2012 for STANDARD INITIAL AND RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR LICENSE TO CARRY A CONCEALED WEAPON.

Is the renewal process the same as the original application with interview, good cause, lives can and to qualify again ?

                                Thanks
