          Applied: 1/17/20
          Interviewed: 2/19/20
          Livescan: 2/21/20
          CCW Course: 2/22/20
          Approved: 3/7/20

The process was not difficult at all. I messed up a little in my 20's around 10 years ago, (a few misdemeanors, nothing firearms or drug-related) but I have had a clean record ever since. My investigator was actually extremely nice and helpful. He literally just went over my application and good cause statement. He told me right then that everything checked out and he would just be waiting for me to get my livescan and complete the CCW course. The total time was less than 2 months but could have been less if I had completed the CCW course beforehand. If you have any questions or doubts, I'd encourage you to reach out to the CCW Unit before you apply.

          Good luck.

Just posting it here for your guys' FYI.

Riverside University Health Center Hospital does not allow CCW holders to carry on their property...there is no official signage anywhere. One of the Nurses stopped a man who was open carrying a buck knife in its sheath and while the man grew upset, the nurse expressed that while he supports the right to carry a knife and those who are granted a CCW permit as it should be respected as a constitutional right, the hospital policy does not allow it. The security guard also repeated that there are no type of weapons allowed on hospital property. Shouldn't there be signage at the entrances...Arrowhead Regional tried to do the same to me, so I just headed back home, they got me F-Up if I'm going to place my weapon in the trunk in ghetto san berndoo.

If it's private property, such as the hospital, they can enforce whatever rules about weapons as they see fit. If you disagree and put up a fight and stay, you'll be criminally trespassing.

may carry enough weight to be included in the CA PEN 626.9(h) and (i) prohibitions against carry on university grounds. That would be a 2, 3, or 4-year jail term (felony).

A passing score of 70% would mean we can only miss 5 correct?

To be safe, 13 rounds landed anywhere on the black silouette would be a passing score. Slow fire. Not timed. Go to the range and practice and you'll have no problems. They will also allow you to reshoot 18 two additional times if you don't get it on the first.

                        Quick question about renewal

Hi everyone, I'm up for my first renewal... I have my interview scheduled, app finished, live fire scheduled, etc. Do I also need utility bills, birth cert, letters of recommendation, etc. for renewal? Thanks very much.

when in that situation you need to say "i understand, not a problem" leave and put the gun in your vehicle. concealed is concealed but if they do see it they can only ask you to leave and you'll only get yourself in trouble if you don't leave.

Unless you are qualifying with a 5-shot revolver, then you can only miss 4.

Does anyone know if the CCW qualification and training course at Ben Clarke is rain or shine? I have called and emailed but haven't heard back yet.
