After talking to a couple different friends and hearing their experiences I decided to apply online through Murrieta PD.

    My Timeline (ongoing for now)
    3/3 Submitted online application https://murrieta.myccw.us/
3/4 Submitted all required initial docs online
3/13 First contact with investigator (text), given interview date of 3/28
3/16 Informed by investigator MPD has suspended in house livescan due to Covid-19 precautions. Need to seek livescan on my own. Also advised I could complete range qualification before interview if I choose to.
3/16 As a result of MPD not offering livescan, I completed livescan by an independent office near work $118
3/30 Completed CCW classroom instruction and range qual

    To be continued...

I qualified at Riverside Indoor Magnum Range.

Picked up my permit today. I emailed my interviewer and ask if it was possible to pick up today(Monday) because my work schedule conflicts with available pick up times. She allowed me to pick up since she was going to be there.

I thought about emailing or calling, but it gave me an excuse to take the day off. You have Kathy as an BI? That's who I had and she was awesome. She emailed me Saturday 3/14 to tell me she was sending my stuff to admin, and I received a call, text, and email 7 minutes later saying it was approved.

              Congrats on your permit.

                  Afternoon gents,

Went and had my livescan done yesterday. Small little hole in the wall place in Corona. If i had also needed to renew my auto registration, have something notarized or buy calling cards for Mexico i woud've been in heaven.

Checked out my results just now..

                  CA-Completed
                  FBI-Completed
                  Firearms-In progress

What is firearms exactly? Whatever "firearms" is in relation to the livescan did cost me an additional $38 just curious if any of you might know what I'm lookin at.

                  Thanks!

That's kinda where my gears were spinnin towards but wasn't sure. Don't see any issue being found there. Both guns are brand new ones hers, ones mine and we've had them less than a month.

                        Thanks!

I hope that hole in the wall place was a Riverside County Sheriff substation that was on the approved list for getting your Livescan done.

I'm not going through RSD but instead Murrieta PD. They have stopped offering Livescans at the PD due to the current Coronavirus situation and my investigator instructed me to get it done elsewhere. Murrieta PD has no approved list for Livescans only range qualification and the psych eval.
