Yes, a $95 money order (for DOJ) and a $20 money order (adm fees) both made out to Riverside Sheriff Dept and both paid at the time of intitial interview. The next money order is for range qualification and final money order is adm. fees when you pick up your permit.

I have a question, and a search didn't help me...

The utility bill question... At our apartment, the only utility we have is electricity. We don't get a paper bill...and the electricity bill is in my wife's name (it just worked out that way, she was the one who handled that part when we moved in).

What can I do for the interview? Can I use my lease agreement? I believe the cell phone bill is in my name, will that work? My interview is next Wednesday, so I need to work this out ASAP.

      Thanks in advance,
      Rob

I think I used my pay stub, car registration & Amazon bill . I think they just want to make sure you live in Riverside County address.

          Riverside Renewal?

Before I call and bug the CCW unit, does anyone know current renewal time for Riverside Sheriff CCW's? Mine is coming up at the beginning of the year (time flies). They told me to contact them 4 months in advance back when I picked up my initial. But back then the initial appointments were 2+ years out. I know things have gotten faster in the CCW unit.

Self defense isn't going to make the cut. You need to show how it relates to working etc.

90 days before expiration call and make your appointment

Have you renewed in the last 6 months? This is what is suggested in the original paperwork but is that the case lately?

If you have doubts just pick up the phone.

The paperwork isn't a suggestion btw. If paperwork was a suggestion I'd have my kids doodle over it and turn it in.

Has anyone asked if/when the Sheriff's Office will switch to online applications/renewals? If so, what did they say?

It's a good way for the sheriff to save time, money and effort/staff time in processing apps. Easier for applicants too, speeding up the process and it's especially helpful for renewals since those can be done entirely online from home.

Just trying to eliminate needless bottlenecks in the process.

Yes he did and it's a valid question in all four Counties.

In fact it's a valid question in ALL counties that do not currently do online apps and renewals.

                              It isn't pertinent to him.
