I Interrupted and said "I was gonna wait until I got closer to my date to get those."
"you're one of the good ones.." with a sigh of relief "you have no Idea how often this is an issue..."

I would say no more the 6 months out. No less then a month being it may take time to get them back from folks.

He didn't give a time frame for them to be "expired."

A buddy of mine in Riverside is interested in starting the process. What is the approximate wait time you guys are seeing lately?

It's worth the wait! I would call in every few months or so (not enough to get them to know your name though - don't want to be known as a pest). I know several people who were bumped up, one as much as 6 months.

Just finished Class and range qual with Riverside SO. Bunch of cool guys! No stress on anyone and they were helpful to the people that needed it. I think everybody passed without issues.. spoke with one guy who just happened to call and see if he could get his date moved up. His original date for interview was sometime in 2019, and was moved up to last month and qualified today. They get cancellations and you might be the lucky caller.

As for me, they said hopefully 4 weeks to get the call for pick up

I just noticed that the Riv Co application has been updated as of 05/31/18. It now shows the CCW unit being located on the 5th floor of a bldg located off of Lemon St in riverside and not at Ben Clark.

Has anybody recently interviewed at the "new" location or are interviews still being held at BC

Emailed inquiry for apt on July 2.
Reply recieved July 5th:
scheduled to come in on October 16, 2018 at 1030 hrs.
apt was moved to Feb 15th, 2018
Livescan completed Feb 27th, 2018
Today 04/03/18 Turned in(emailed PDF's) all paperwork from CCW class and range qual w/Street Safe Defense. (delay was partly me due to work schedule)

now its a waiting game...

Feb 28 2018 - Interview
March 1 2018 - Livescan
April 7 2018 - Qualify (Ben Clark)
May 23 2018 - Emailed for status. Was told it was in admin review.
June 6 2018 - Called to pick up permit

Looks like things are moving faster now days though.

I had so much fun at the Ben Clark Class and Qual on May 5th, the deputy was a riot. As said previously, all the deputies want you to have a permit, and all have a special disdain for California politicians.

On the firing line, probably the best shooter that day was a women who was just killing the targets. The deputies were barking at her for head-shots only at all 3 distances, then going so far as to demand a smiley face!!! HAH! At 15 yards, she would put all 6 shots right in the face.

LOL deputies were still talking about that chick this past Saturday! The friendly jabs at democrats, snowflakes, DOJ, etc. all made for a great class environment. Every step of the process has been nothing but enjoyable.

Has anyone from the May 5th class received their permit yet? Looks like the average wait time recently is about two months but I just thought I'd check in.
