RSO changed their range officers? The last time I qualified ( years ago ) It was two swat guys. A dude in a plate carrier vest with ar mags with a drop holster. It was sorta hard to hear his commands. He just sorta yelled. They acted hardcore. Totally different from CaT & the other retired dude.

If a CCW training organization justifies their higher price (compared to Ben Clark) by saying they will give you the training for an AZ and UT CCW, this is misleading. Once you get your CA CCW, you just need to send a copy of your CA CCW in with your non-res AZ or UT CCW application and that will satisfy their training requirement. Meaning the CA class by itself is all the training you need for a AZ or UT non-res permit.Comment

I always thought there were state specific training required. Got any links to prove that?-ChewyComment

Just a snippet from Utah's CCW application -
Utah requires a portion of their course to be given by someone approved by Utah...which I doubt Ben Clark RSO's are.

N. An applicant shall demonstrate competence with a firearm through any of the following:
6. A valid current or expired concealed weapon, firearm or handgun permit or license that is issued by another state or a political subdivision of another state and that has a training or testing requirement for initial issuance.
UT may be different, but I think someone mentioned that you could do the same for UT.Comment

Does anybody know if Dep. Yezzo is still with the CCW unit? (thought I'd ask here before bugging them with a phone call)
Thanks!

Hey all, I'm going to qualify at Ben Clark 4/7. I thought I read somewhere that you aren't suppose to be using reloaded ammo. Does anyone know for sure if that's a problem there? Thanks!Comment

I heard the same thing. I went to Johnny Woods in Indio, he did not care!

I was looking over the Riverside CCW packet for a friend and found this to be interesting:
In the event I am detained or arrested by any law enforcement agency, or asked to present my license to any peace officer. I shall notify the CCW Unit as soon as it is practical to do so, describing the details of the law enforcement contact. Additionally, I understand that I am to report any court actions, either civil or criminal, where I am directly involved.Mrs 38Special
