They seem to be getting caught up. Just be sure to get training done ASAP. They told me not to wait for any sort of approval before doing the renewal training.
I started pre-conversion and after the notice about the new system, the next email I got said I was missing the training and if I didn't upload it within 2 weeks they were going to cancel my application. [...]
Regardless of whether this forum is still active in a couple of years when the next renewal comes around, hopefully things will be back to a smoothly-running process and I won't need intel regarding when to submit this or that.
I'm not holding my breath but maybe that nationwide CCW reciprocity will become law before then and the whole situation will be very different.iTrader under old CalGunsComment

I started pre-conversion and after the notice about the new system, the next email I got said I was missing the training and if I didn't upload it within 2 weeks they were going to cancel my application. Fortunately I was able to get a class right away and the they handled everything pretty quickly. So if you have made sure you uploaded everything including your training, I would bet they get it done before your expiration.
BTW had a good experience with EliteCCW. Not the cheapest course, for sure, especially since you have to buy their lead-free ammo for their range. But they also signed off my Utah application (which requires a signature and stamp from an approved UT instructor) so I was pretty happy with them.Comment

Renewal here. I submitted my application on the new Pro system at around the 90 day till expiration mark. I was worried after reading all the recent posts that my CCW would expire before I was renewed.
Timeline:
- Renewal application submitted: 01/08/25
- Training course completed/cert uploaded: 03/09/25
- Inquiry email sent to CCW division asking what the current status of application was: 03/10/25
- Email reply telling me I needed to upload passport style photo/uploaded photo: 03/11/25
- Approval email received/instructed to call M-F to pay for renewal: 03/14/25
I hope this gives some of y'all some ease.

I submitted a renewal packet in late December 2024, after Christmas, for a 3/27 expiration. 91 days early give or take.
My entire application was submitted after the migration, but about a month before i did that, I did get an email asking me to make sure the info they already had was migrated properly.
I submitted my training cert, proof of residency, a copy of my CDL, etc. all at the same time.
I emailed them at the general CCW address this morning, politely saying that I expire in about a week, and asking if there is anything I can do to get them what they need,
I was pleasantly surprised just now, I got a short, nice email asking me to upload a photo of myself, which I quickly took in my office hallway and sent along.
Hopefully that was the squeak that this wheel needed to get renewed before expiry.
I'll post updates if and when they happen.Originally posted by tony270It's easy to be a keyboard warrior, you would melt like wax in front of me, you wouldn't be able to move your lips.Originally posted by repubconservPrint it out and frame it for all I careOriginally posted by el chivoI don't need to think at all..Originally posted by pjsigYou are talking to someone who already won this lame conversation, not a brick a wall. "Active Licensees will be required to Sign up and create a profile.- The CCW Unit will then match the data. Nothing more will be required from you.
- When the time comes to renew or if you need to amend your license, you may then log back into the account to trigger either transaction."

Anyone have any data from the past month? I expire tomorrow. I did get an email last week asking for a photo, which seems promising.Originally posted by tony270It's easy to be a keyboard warrior, you would melt like wax in front of me, you wouldn't be able to move your lips.Originally posted by repubconservPrint it out and frame it for all I careOriginally posted by el chivoI don't need to think at all..Originally posted by pjsigYou are talking to someone who already won this lame conversation, not a brick a wall. I think they’re catching up. I submitted my renewal in January and I just got the call to pay. I’m still a month from expiration.👍 1Comment
