Trying to submit my renewal (mid Feb expiration) through the new system. I got matched up with my license in the system which took a few weeks but now it won’t let me submit it without a training certificate. My understanding is that I’m not supposed to do the training until they process my application. Is that not the case? Sent an email to OCSD so hopefully they’ll clarify, but hoping someone here knows.

It's a renewal and not a first time for you. My renewal with OCSD last year I submitted my training certificate within days of the application so it was all there for them to look at when they got to it. Those certificates are good for months from what I can remember. I haven't worked with that new system yet, but I would imagine if they want everything upfront then thats what you need to do.

After you sign up for the new system with an already previously submitted renewal, someone's supposed to email you and tell you when to sign in to verify your information is correct to proceed to the next step. However, noone emailed me and I happened to login today and noticed I needed to verify all my info and resubmit all my paperwork again. I don't know how long it's been sitting waiting for me to verify my info. Anyways, login in your account and check from time to time incase yall don't get emails to do so as well.

I'm in a similar situation. I reached out 120 days prior to expiration and submit my renewal via the Permitium portal. Expiration-60 days I looked to permitium for my status and found a responder that said OCSD no longer subscribed to permitium. I emailed OCSD and was told to create an account in CCWPro and they would match up my information. E-30 days I reached out for a status as I've not heard anything since submitting incomplete as prescribed via CCWPro with no response. I'm less than 30 days to expiration now with no update, despite submitting for renewal as early as OCSD will allow.
          Very frustrating.

CalGuns, I have almost given up on this site. Erratic and unreliable! Only because I hate alternatives like leftist-controlled Reddit am I here.

Similar situation as some upthread posters. I submitted for rewnewal close to 120 days prior to expiry. My application was complete at that time, well before the "migration" to CCW Pro.

Communication from OCSD has been unprofessional and lacking. I registered with CCW Pro very soon after OCSD sent their email broadcast. At that time I logged in and my application looked good to me. All the documents appeared to have come over. But after two or three weeks of "pending" I saw a change of status and it appeared they wanted most documents re-uploaded and a bunch of questions re-answered, which I did.

Finally after calling a few times and not getting a human response, I got through and talked with someone. They told me as of right now, they are working on applications from late July 2024. The person was apologetic, which was apropos.

That's great and all, except July 31st was 131 days ago; meaning everyone being processed from July is already expired.

I just got an email saying my ccw was approved and to call to pay. Are they open on Sundays for phone payments? I've called 20 times so far

                    No. Try again tomorrow.

Did you expire or still valid after approval?

If his count is accurate, he applied in early August (80 days before he posted), meaning that they should be into early August applications now, since he posted on 12/15 that his renewal was cleared and he was looking to pay.

**@ir0nclash86** did you get a new renewal date (like 12/14 instead of 10/06)?

Started the paperwork back in mid September for a January renewal date. Went through the migration and all (had to re-upload information that didn't survive) but still crickets from the OCSD. Anyone know if they are just backed up?

Sent paperwork in early August. Expired 11/8. New system put in place and have had minimal contact with OCSD. Being told it I am in the new system and waiting for a processor to review.
