I honestly believe my card is lost in the mail, but getting ahold of OCSD is basically impossible. Anyone know how to get ahold of them to let them know that my card is lost, vanished, disappeared?

3/18/21 - Moved up appointment to 7/2/21

Plenty of July appointment dates available last I checked at 4:30pm.

I applied 3/4/21 with an original appointment of 8/26/21.

By the time I logged on there was only August dates available so I moved my appointment up to 8/3/21

My timeline.

Expiry 3/22/01

Submitted renewal packet less training cert, 12/22/20

Submitted training Cert 1/05/2021.

Email noting approval and saying they will contact me to pay for my permit over the phone and mail me my permit, 02/15/2021.

55 days from initial submission to approval.

I have added to my permit last year, so didn't think about the renewal till I received a email reminder from the OC sheriff on Jan 11. Email said allow 90 days

You are welcome to complete the training, but it is paid out of pocket and not refundable so you can also wait until instructed to do so.

Email received 3/11/2021 - they said to go ahead and complete training and upload cert. I asked regarding pre-approval and she said that they now require it beforehand, but my app looks like it should be fine for approval.

On her email it now says allow 90-120 days for renewal

3/18/2021- submitted completed class and qualification cert.
3/19/2021 - email stating they have received all docs and waiting approval.

Moral of story, allow more time. Mine will lapse, but 2 years came by fast and with addendums, I was thinking I still had a year to renew.

btw, if it's hard to get into a class, OC firearms offers online renewal classes.

I was doing my daily check-in to see if I can move my appointment date up (still no luck after 4 months of checking), and the interface is subtly different. Before when I click on "Reschedule" it would bring me to the calendar screen, usually beginning a week out from the date I was checking. So for example, if I was check on Thursday 03/19, it would start me on the calendar screen around 03/26. Then I would do my usual and click forward to see if there are any openings until I come up to my current scheduled date.

Well today when I clicked on "Reschedule", it jumped me all the way to one (1) month PASSED my currently scheduled date. I could not check to see if there was anything earlier.

Anyone else getting this?

I was specifically told that the paper copy was the official permit and the CC-type card wasn't valid until the CA DOJ approves it. So far DOJ hasn't approved the CC permit.

Yes, you can put a off roster gun on your CCW like a G43 as long as it is dros'd to you. (not sure about the spouse thing cause I only do my own)
