    Read the fine print.

There’s a thread floating around comparing the different insurance.

Each person should do their due diligence before purchasing a policy

Yes. Read it. I will add one thing. Recently a USCAA representative was asked how many or how much is paid in claims. The rep was unable to answer saying something to the effect that such information has been impossible for him to get from the company. If nothing better, as legal advice can be expnsive, consider going over any plan with a trusted insurance agent. At lease read the numerous posts on Calguns and elsewhere.

I apologize for my poor thread research skills but I don’t think I’ve gotten a clear answer. I just want to make sure I don’t mess up my application. Currently, if I apply for a license do I need to draft a good cause statement?

Also, I had a p365 gifted to me through an intrafamilial transfer recently and just noticed the DROS has it down as a “365” as opposed to a “p365” is this something I need ti have fixed before I do any paperwork so it can be used for the ccw?

Re the P365, don't worry about that. The county will allow you to list the firearms with which your training certificate lists you as qualifying. Worry whether it is recorded in AFS when it comes time for issuance. If you haven't already recorded the transfer on CFARS, it may be worh doing a PPT with an FFL.

I did the intrafamilial through a local FFL and the DROS from them lists it as a 365 as opposed to a p365 so does that mean it is incorrect in AFS or CFARS?

Call early in the am. Like start at 7:30 and try again at 8
The "slippery slope" is not a fallacy; it is a strategy.

My renewal took about a week and a half. It took me longer to schedule training. Really happy it happened so fast. Spent 2 days calling to pay, but finally got through.

I literally politely asked if there were any earlier interviews that opened up. 5 minutes later I get an email with an updated interview date.

Just want to clarify, you went in to start the live scan after you asked if there was an earlier OCSD interview date available and they changed it? All OCSD had at the time was your initial application and documents that had been submitted?

Wondering if this approach will still work or, with the large number of applicants now, the live scan might get too old before a new and sooner interview date arrives. Would it be better to wait for the live scan until after the CCW unit calls or the scheduled appointment.

Yeah. I went to do the live scan after they updated the interview date. Honestly, I didn't expect them to fit me in 3 weeks from when I emailed them on 10/10/22. I was expecting an interview date that was like 3 months from then.

And yeah. The only thing OCSD had at the time was my application and various documents they needed.

Also, if you don't have any bills because you live with your parents and they pay for all those expenses, OCSD will ask you for a notarized proof of residence letter. I live with my parents and the only bills I pay are car payments. I thought it was going to be an issue with proving that I lived at the address but it wasn't too much of a big deal.
