Currently playing the waiting game…any idea when I’d get the PTT email? Problem is I took my training and that expires end of Feb 2023!!!

Whatever you do don't hold your breath as it's a crap shoot on when you get the training email. Some it's weeks some like me are going on 4 months. As for training might have to do it again.

It's a joke. They call who they want. I can see at least three or four ppl that applied and interviewed after me, have pretty much caught up to me in the process. I also interviewed in Santa Clarita and have not received the all allusive PTT email. I am at 93 days and waiting. My Deputy told me it would go very fast, Hahahahahahaha, was she wrong. Good luck everyone.

I told them I have used weed in the past during the interview. Then deputy asked when was the last time I used it, and I said over 10 years ago. It didn't seem to be an issue for me.

I told them the same, I had in the past (greater than 10+ years ago), and had no issue in getting issued. I never had a card though

I think having a marijuana card is a problem.

I think it is, as I've seen others mention that as well

Does anyone know what happens if you miss the call to pick up? Do they try calling again or send an email?

They will call you again when your name comes back up. Some get a call back right away, others a few weeks it seems

did you have to take a firearms training class? I can't find a site with full instructions from the AZ site. All the 3rd party sites wants to charge for their online course and their assistance with filling out the forms. I'm just trying to see if I can avoid paying 3rd party and do everything myself.

Congrats!! and very lucky for getting to pick up in 3 days!!! I got the call last Friday but they said the next available appointment date was 1/25... smh

Did you answer the yes/no question about drug use on the application accordingly? My buddy is in the same boat but he said no on the app as he said he read the question wrong, and he's worried about it.

yup.. I put No on the form but said yes during the interview. Tell your buddy not to worry... they mainly focus on the interview.. the interview is what takes precedence for the whole entire application. at least that's what the deputy told me.

initially on the form, I put No on the arrest question.. but after I mailed it in, I had forgotten I had gotten arrested like 19 years ago.. so during the interview I provided the info and the reason why. The funny thing is, during my interview (6/7/22) Good cause was still needed. The good cause I put on my application was the generic self protection for me and my family, and the fear of rising crime. Deputy told me that's not going to fly, so she asked me what I did for work.. then she told me exactly what to put to get accepted.. she told me to send her an e-mail with the new good cause (which was already written by her lol)

It is easy, fill out form and print it. Make a copy of your Real ID CA License and CA issued CCW. The CCW will be proof of the training. If you want include the copies of the two sheets given to you at the training. The hard part is INK rolled fingerprints. No one does them. I finally found someone to do them for $15 a sheet, as you need two. Get $60 dollar money order and mail it all to the address provided.
