I dont understand that either. The DOJ and how they process these scans seems very weird when these livescans are submitted electronically. Just hearing that I am inclined to think the process contains some bias. It really doesn't check out.

Reply to the deputy and include the generic ccw unit email. Attached scanned copies of your training docs, and email back to them. Make sure to include FIREARMS TRAINING in the subject line

I see that VIP CCW Services is on the list of approved training providers, however I have read on other training provider sites that they don't offer online training because it is not allowed. See Below. Have any of you used VIP CCW Services for training and had no problems getting issued?
NO ONLINE CCW TRAINING
The State of California does not approve or allow online CCW training.

I don't see why, as long as verbal part is online, but life fire part is live

I saw that, the website looks like a copy of LASD's. The Application for a CCW actually links you to LASD's website to download it. I wonder why LAPD didn't go with Pentium? Probably want to make sure it's as slow as possible and disorganized as LASD is.

I got the “proceed to training” email today but I am a bit confused on who do I send my certifications too. The email said to reply back to the email but it also said to email the CCW unit

When the course is completed, the Certified Range Instructor must sign and date the form and provide you with a Certificate of Completion.
Reply to this email and send a PDF copy of the Shooting Proficiency Standards form AND Certificate of Completion to CCW_unit@lasd.org. In the subject line you must add "FIREARMS TRAINING". We will not review or process your training if the email does not state "FIREARMS TRAINING".

If you have completed the training prior to being authorized and your training is over (1) year from the date of this email it WILL NOT be accepted.

You should follow those instructions. That email (CCW_unit@lasd.org) is the email of the CCW unit. Just follow those instructions.

Someone estimated ~$625 on reddit for cost of everything once youre done. (not including gun xD)
