FWIW, I have seen some questions about what might be disqualifying for an individual. A few examples of things I know for a fact are NOT disqualifying in and of themselves:
DUI 12 years ago
Arrest for bench warrant 7 years ago
Citations for expired tags, any timeframe
Limited Marijuana use in High School (~20 years ago)

From conversations with deputies, they really want to be able to say from an honest perspective that the applicant is a responsible person who can make good decisions, even if they maybe didn't in the past (to a point).

Yeah, same interview date and my livescan cleared a week before yours. My mentality is that you were just issued early. Not going to worry until another month or so goes by.

I had heard it may be prioritized based on your GC color, also if you havent already done your training i would get that out of the way so it saves you another 1-2 months.

Gave it to my interviewer at the interview. My GC is yellow(red on a good day)

So I have an update with my CCW application. I called and a female deputy picked up the phone I was on hold for about 50 minutes While she looked for my file once she found it she asked me a few questions about my good cause which was recreational shooting and I’m a realtor. Her opinion was since I don’t have much sales under my background although I am in escrow right now with one listing in collaboration with another realtor she said that in her opinion she does not think I’m qualified. . She mentioned that my paperwork is at the top of the list for the lieutenant since I’ve been waiting for so long but in her opinion she says she does not see me going all the way I’m guessing that the lieutenant will most likely agree and deny me. So I guess because I only have one client and I have not sold any homes in my past yes I have one that I leased out and one pending right now but I guess that’s not good enough reason for me to be able to protect myself. I told her that I have evidence if she needs to see that I was at an open house a few weeks ago I had two of them in South LA but again she does not see any reason why I should have any right to protect myself because I don’t have many clients she told me her suggestion was that I get more clients and then reapply. I’m very saddened right now I’m just so disappointed in how the system works.
