Well sort of.. I had my interview, was told to do livescan and to contact them if I don't hear back from them in 8 weeks.. Well, check out my timeline below...
NOTHING... Just nothing.. I don't get it. Anyone else going sharing my timeline and situation?
I've been told by some to just go into the station where i was interviewed and try to get some answers.. It's tempting but I keep telling myself to be patient and meanwhile another month passes by and more and more applicants that submitted after me are picking up...
Same situation with me. Still nothing at the moment

Got my call for pickup 12-27. Business owner so I guess light red.
5-14 Dropped off app downtown in person
6-4 Check Cashed
10-21 Received call to schedule interview
10-28 Interview and told to get livescan
10-28 Had livescan done. CA and FBI completed same day
11-10 Firearms complete
11-17 Completed training
12-1 Received proceed to training email.
12-1 Submitted training certificate and received confirmation from CCW unit that docs were received
12-27 Call for pickup from private number but I was expecting it as it was about 4 weeks since I submitted for training which is what was stated in the confirmation email.
12-29 Picked up
Total took about seven and a half months.
Picked up today at Sherman Block building and saw another person picking up. Don't know if he's on the forums but he was a firefighter which seems to be the key demo right now. He dropped his app off 2 months ago and picked up today. Crazy. The same deputy that handled my interview was there to issue my permit. I guess they handle each applicant from beginning to end. She was friendly, professional and cute. Am I allowed to say that? Once they have eyes on your app and it's a GC they are pushing seems like 2 months process it's just the waiting to get the eyes on that's taking a long time. At the interview the deputy had a checklist of all the things they had to ask me. Don't know if that was specific for that deputy or if they are trying to maintain a uniform process. For those with juvenile issues there was a specific section asking if there are any sealed or expunged records. There were people who had questions about that and weren't given any concrete answers but I think it's been clarified now that you have to disclose even if expunged or sealed. If they find it later it's an automatic denial. The checklist also asked about confrontations you might have had at the work place, road rage incidents anything that might set off their spidey senses on you being an unstable person who might go off the handle. Great Christmas present as I literally got nothing lol. Everyone opened gifts on Christmas except for me.
Want to thank those that were truly helpful and not here to just give others a hard time.
Also I want to give a big thumbs up to VIP CCW services. The classroom portion was done online via zoom at 6 pm and we only went to the range when necessary to do the live fire qualifications. This made it possible to get training done in my tight time schedule as it didn't require taking a whole day to do training which is huge when you are super busy with work and have a family. My instructor was super accommodating as I was running a little late to range qualifications but was still able to get me qualified the same day. Huge thumbs up. If you have a tight schedule I would advise looking into their class. That setup seems to be the future for any CCW training course as they could theoretically handle a giant class size and just schedule range qualifications with a much shorter block of time.
It's been interesting going to the regular places of business that I go to armed especially knowing most of the people around are probably not very 2A friendly.
Good luck to those still waiting on updates in status.Comment

Yeah, it does seem unfair. This is all new to the sheriff for the past year and they clearly do not have enough staff to process all the applications in a timely manner.
Has AV done a recent FB show? Are there new numbers?

In other words, you need to be honest during the interview. Wasn't hard for me since I'm a boring person with no record.Comment
