I don't believe you have elaborated on the GC in your sig (yellow/light green). Was it work, or recreational? We've established that if work & recreation are included, they will typically pursue the work-related reasons over recreational. What was the case for your interview?

GC was work related (making cash deposits) as well as traveling into remote areas with high value gear. They really didn't go over the recreational/"light green" reasons with me; they concentrated on the work related areas. Sounds in line with them not issuing for "light green" reasons, but I'll save it for others to make that determination.

Hopefully the upcoming SCOTUS ruling will make the GC restrictions less of an obstacle for the rest of LA County.

As of 04/06/2022, the total number issued is 2570 with 369 currently pending.

That means 123 more have been issued since three weeks ago (03/16/2022), or approximately 41 issued per week.

Haven't been keeping up with the thread as it was making me sad lol. Looks like some June applications are pick up. Congrats! Next week will be my 1 year anniversary of sending in my application haha! Are there any more April apps still waiting?

Has anyone taken the livescan and has had a In progress status for Firearms for more than 3 months. I submitted my livescan late Nov after my interview. The CA and FBI portions were completed 12/18/2021 and 12/17/2021 respectively. The Firearms portion is still In progress. Should I contact the DOJ or the sheriff to figure out what's going on? The sheriff identified that a incorrect charge was on my background, which I acknowledged and let them know that the charge was in progress to be removed. This incorrect charge was removed according to the reporting agency and I received a document confirming this information. Any one have any ideas...

If it's been 3 months then theres a problem. What did they say when you gave them proof of the incorrect charge? Was it a felony?

From what I have been seeing and hearing, even if you do the training before given the go it's not going to make a difference.

For those you have been given the go to do the training, they receive their pickup day in about 2-4 weeks. Recently there was someone that got the email to proceed to do the training and once they sent it in, they were issued in 2-3 weeks.

Wow. Firearms wait time is getting longer and longer. I guess it's pointless to check the status every day. I'm only in my 4th week of waiting.

i would still look a few times a day. everybody's case is different.

Lol wow ..... That's insane. I would say for everyone having an interview to just do the livescan now but hold off on the firearms training. It's just going to get longer and longer for the firearms portion to clear.

i would actually do the firearms training myself (which i di). it would speed things up.
