I believe this does shows the deputies, at least the one's willing to help, you are someone who at the very least can pass the live scan.

My interviewing deputy took a scan of my TX and AZ permits. But probably doesn't make a lick of difference.

received and email on friday 10/1, deputy requested i update my physical drivers license to show my current home address ( my dl is up to date in records system / but was renewed with a previous address and is still good), so guess ill be hanging at the DMV updating my license... joy

You are partially correct. However, if you have FFL03 and COE, you already know that any livescan you do will come back clean. In addition, in my case, I've done couple of contracts at defense related companies, like Boeing, where also you would not be chosen without clean record
