Problem is not what I own, but for example, let's say you have an Falcon NW's gaming rig that costs over 10,000$ and you call me to fix/upgrade/whatever. I come over and pick it up to take to my place that's better equipped to work on something this complex. I do what you wanted me to do, and now I'm delivering it back to you. I don't have invoices/receipts from the PCs that I work on for my clients, best I can do is print out, for example (in this case) Falcon's site's default model prices and show them.

I understand what you're saying (I usually build my own PC's). However, if you wish to get a CCW permit, you have to approach this from the perspective of the issuing agency. While the value of the items can be proven, your possession of those items can't unless you have some documentation process. For future attempt at getting a permit, and I know this sounds like a pain, consider using a form with your and your customer's signature agreeing to the itemized receipt of items (computer and/or parts), along with estimated value and then a signature upon return of these items. I know it can be bothersome to do all of this for a relatively simple business process, but if you can document these transactions, it will probably go a long way in supporting your GC.

This is exactly what I was thinking. When you return a computer to a customer, if there is no paper trail, what stops them from saying “hey, this was a fully loaded XYZ. You lifted memory out of it, or swapped in a smaller hard drive?” Paper trail of itemized receipts, takes a little time, but protects you in addition to rebuilding a better GC for next time.

My light green recreational GC included 1) camping/hiking, snowshoeing and 2) going to shooting competitions with expensive guns. I presented a spread sheet of each gun, it’s basic cost and the cost of the upgrades. My deputy said his LT was going to need receipts for the upgrades on two of the guns. Searched through my online order history at multiple websites then retrieved, printed and scanned the invoices for all the parts as well as the DROS originals.

Waiting to be sent to training or to be denied…….

I did the same for (2), brought all to my interview w/ DROS for all listed guns and purchase confirmations of those listed firearms and their respective accessories. My interviewing deputy said he was only interested in the DROS records for the 3 handguns I intended to list on my permit…

More recreational. We camp in the desert. All you have to do for AZ is print/fill out the app, cut a check, include proof of training, and mail them the packet. I think CA training is accepted but idk, I used a copy of my old TN CCW as proof I had done training.
