It's just without California one, it seems kind of less important if not pointless

I don't travel much, except sometimes to Canada in the summer Though I do often try to get certain things for "just to have"

Sorry to hear your news. As I mentioned with SSB, it would be so useful if it were possible to drill deeper into exactly what they thought the deficiency was. Was the claim of value insufficient, was the claim of frequency insufficient, were the claims sufficient, but the proof was not? It would be amazing if they would identify what claims or proofs would have been sufficient. but I doubt we would ever get that level of transparency.

If you travel inside the US but outside CA where you could use it, by all means go for the other permits, but I don't think it will have the slightest impact on your ability to get a CA Permit. Consider NV as well. I drove from Vegas to Arkansas, covered by my NV permit the whole way.

On the other hand, and I'm just spitballing here, what if in the next round of SCOTUS carry cases, the Court decides the full faith and credit provision of the Constitution applies to core constitutional rights, and they mandate that all states must honor permits issued by all other states, (national reciprocity) just like for drivers' licenses, and marriage licenses/certificates? Then your out of state permit will be GOLD!
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.

Thank you for the advice I'll definitely download and pre-fill out applications for UT and AZ CCWs, but will wait to submit until my disappointment fades a bit

I don't know of any cases that are set to address national reciprocity specifically. Even if there was such a case, I think the outcome of NYSRPA would be much greater, should we get lucky with a decision in favor of our side.

I agree and disagree. Yes, in the very long run, SCOTUS mandated Shall Issue should make reciprocity irrelevant.

On the other hand, consider this: If you have an out of state permit in hand, you can carry immediately after SCOTUS rules. If you wait to get a CA permit at that point, even under the current circumstances, the wait for a permit in LA will be what, 9 months? and then when you consider the rush of applications clogging every aspect of the system at that point on top of whatever obstructions the State or localities will create, expect a year or more wait.

If I already sent the supporting documents with the app, do I need to bring other copy for interview ?

Now we wait. Did my live scan two months ago and my shooting portion was this past weekend.

I wore a Hawaiian shirt and plate carrier but each to their own [emoji1787]

I dressed as business casual as I could for someone in the music industry covered in tattoos. Button down long sleeve shirt of a good caliber, fresh Dickies pants and some black Lanvin leather business sneakers ! I looked high worth.

I saw people in their court suit. I personally thing the people looked like a defendant in my opinion. Be comfortable, confident and respectful.
