Man, the emotions in this thread are all over the place! I've been lurking the past few days catching up on the last 30 pages or so, seeing the status of similar time frames as my application. Seems like they're all over as some March aren't approved yet and some have completed the whole process fairly quickly. I will post my timeline below for reference.

GC Color - Yellow
4/9 - App mailed
4/15 - Check cashed
5/6 - Interview
6/2 - CA/FBI Livescan
6/14 - Firearms Livescan

Seeing that the Livescan could take a while, I took that risk and completed it. I've seen mixed feelings on taking the training beforehand, but I believe I will hold off.

Overall, 112 days since application and 84 days since interview. I know they are swamped, but it's getting somewhat discouraging taking this long!

My three LA County co-workers all received their calls on a Monday, before noon.

Blocked caller ID #.

Interviews were schedule for that Wednesday or Thursday the same week they got the calls. 2-3 days after getting the interview calls.

Yep I know that. I got my call on a Monday for interview as well. I meant if they even make any calls on Fridays whether it's for pick up or a proceed to training call, etc. I'm just waiting on the proceed to training call or email while Portal is waiting for a pick up license call.

I don't even stare anymore. I've made myself forget about it for hours at a time. Then it turns into days LOL. My phone is always near me so I'm just not going to stress out about it anymore. If I get the call/email to train, cool. If I don't then so be it.

I'm right along you guys too, waiting for the e-mail/call for training or pickup. One of us getting it first is a good sign that the rest will soon after. Keep each other posted!

Well I know No.11 submitted his training after his interview and the Deputy told him to hold onto it until he's asked for it. We'll see who gets a call/email or denial first haha.

In the meantime I use the simplex lock Titan full size pistol vault in my car, empty chamber, empty magwell, action open, 10rd mag in the side car attachment.
