I hope this is a joke. As long as the bugging of them isn't excessive, they shouldn't hold it against people for checking in from time to time. Maybe they are impatient because they really need the permit urgently for some reason. ]
That said, the livescans seem to be going faster now. Mine took four days for the firearms portion (the other parts took less than a day). The next long wait will be the training email and the approval email.
The Deputy who interviewed me was the opposite, and encouraged me to email her with any questions.sigpicComment

Some of you guys do need to learn some patience. Checking on your status has never resulted in getting your permit faster. All they will do is tell you it is still being worked on. If anything it’ll probably slow things down as they have to take time to answer your inquiry. All you need to do is mail your application with confirmation and you’ll know they have it. When they get to you they will call you. Remember they still need a supervisors ok to approve your good cause so even if your live scan comes back quickly chances are the supervisor hasn’t given the go ahead. Some guys (Lockdown) waited for over a month to get the pickup call after turning in his certs. They’ll get to you. Just exercise some patience.LA County CCW HolderComment

Working on it. Our HR system is garbage so whatever my director wrote for my review (few months late) is not showing up. Already gave him what else I needed from him in letter form. Utility bill is scanned and ready. Figured I would send everything in one shot. Deputy told me he only goes downtown once a week so if I get everything to him by Friday we'll be good.App Sent 4/15

Yeah I didn't bother the CCW unit. Instead I used this thread as therapy and came here to **** talk Vinh and The Cuban.

Youd be denied for not following specific instructions by a LEO. If you won’t follow them regarding applying why should they believe you’ll follow them regarding carrying???
