Anybody amended their permit to add a pistol? I want to add one more to mine. Was just curious to see what the lead time was on that.

Brandon H just had his permit issued. He will need to qualify with the firearm he is adding and send in the "Amendment Application," link below, from the LASD website.

Good news!!! I just got off the phone with the CCW Unit for LASD and they informed me that they will commence calling to set up appointments to pick up CCWs next week.

During the application and interview, I had not applied to any out of state CCW. But LASD is taking too long that info I provided them get out of date. What if I get issued an out of state CCW before picking up CA, do I need to inform them at pick up?

I heard they have stopped that for now to catch up on processing permits

I saw on Medic Up's Instagram that someone received a call today, 12/20/2022, to pick up on 01/05/2023. I dont know that its LASD but Im assuming because of the ridiculously long timeline.

Camaross it seems like you are getting caught up in a changing of the guard. You have been waiting a while. Absolutely no reason for me to get a CCW a month or two before you with our timelines.

Congrats! LAPD seems to be processing things a lot faster than LASD. I e-mailed them on October 18, 2022 and had my interview on December 5, 2022. My buddy e-mailed them about two weeks later and got an e-mail three days ago saying he's number 1038 and they are scheduling appointments for applicant 400, so they expect him to have an appointment in April/May 2023.

Yeah. This has been a bit frustrating. Hopefully, it will be over next week.

Is there anyone following this thread with an active CCW permit who lives in the City of Glendale or sometimes travels there? Glendale has a very restrictive CCW ordinance and the city was recently sued by CRPA, SAF, and Gun Owners of California to block this. A successful ruling in this case would be a great tool against the state when they try to pass 2023 SB2 (formerly SB918).

One of the attorneys handling this case is looking for individuals to be plaintiffs in their case. You can read more about it in the following thread (see post #14).
