~4/19: Mailed their CCW application
7/12: Monday - Got the call for Interview appointment (called early AM, blocked #)
7/14: Wednesday - Interviewed @ Whittier Sheriff Station (wait in vehicle until called by personnel to come inside Station)
7/14: Live Scan
8/11: Live Scan Firearm completed
9/21: Firearms Training email received
9/25: Firearms Training completed @ Firing-Line Indoor Shooting
11/02: Received call ~14:00 to pick up CCW License @ Station the next day, on Wednesday.
11/03: Picked up CCW License from Sheriff Station.



** 28 Weeks (~6.5 months) from when CCW Application was mailed in April.

7/21: Wednesday - Interviewed @ San Dimas Sheriff Station (wait in vehicle until called by personnel to come inside Station)
7/21: Live Scan
8/19: Live Scan Firearm completed
9/14: Firearms Training email received
9/25: Firearms Training completed @ Firing-Line Indoor Shooting
9/25: Firearms Training Documents/Certs emailed to CCW Unit.
9/27: CCW Unit emailed a response, confirming Training Docs/Certs receipt and 4 weeks ETA for application final CCW App review/approval.
11/08: Received call @ 10:30 to pick up CCW License @ Station the next day, on Tuesday.
11/09: Picked up CCW License from Sheriff Station.

One note.

When a co-worker was at the Sheriff Station to pick up his permit today.

There was another person waiting in the waiting room to do their interview. That person stated that they submitted their application in May.

Picked up my permit today. I was wondering why some people had a bunch of paperwork with them. Guess they were interviewing. Thanks REDHORSE.

It was a really quick process, and they actually called me before my actual pickup time. They must have somehow known i was already there.

Anyway, thanks to everyone on here for all the info posted. I'll hang around still, although I probably will only check it maybe once a day as opposed to whatever I was doing before haha.

I stopped by today on other business and I saw you @No.11 !! There was a bunch of Calgunners in the lobby at 8AM.

I'm so thankful and blessed the process is over for me.

@Redhorse I am assuming the yellow/green GC's actually mean they are just yellow, as they is no such thing as multi GC's (only multi attempts.)

They listed Multiple Good Causes on their applications. Ranging from Yellow to Light Green.

The Sheriff Detective seemed to have based/focused their CCW app on their Yellow GC (work related). That was the applicants impressions.

Their Light Green GC was briefly talked about with the Sheriff Detective.

One more thing, DO NOT SUBMIT TRAINING CERTIFICATE EARLY. WAIT UNTIL THEY ASK FOR IT. The process is drawn out so I wouldn't even consider doing training until your at least 6-9 months in after submitting. There are approved LASD Vendors that can get you in within 5 business days to get your training done. So there isn't a rush and you don't want your certificate to expire.

Simply follow the rules and be patient. Trust me, the process works.

The crew that posts here on CGN is probably less than 1% of the total applications.

LASD doesn't classify permits by color. It's just something we do online to describe each person's GC without getting into details.
