There was one guy in my qualification class that they would only certify him on one of his three guns.

I had someone in my class fail the qualification completely. Pretty scary.

Hello CalGuns, planning on turning in my CCW application tomorrow but I have two questions. In the application it states to list any moving violations in the past 5 years. I received a running a red light ticket in Nov 2019 by a officer and a speeding ticket 44 in a 25 in August 2021. The red light ticket was reduced to a no point violation and the speeding ticket is still pending as I recently received it in the last 2 weeks. Should I still list them on my application? Other than that I have a clean driving and criminal record

I got a ticket 3 days before my interview. I told the deputy because what's there to hide?

Got my interview call on Friday afternoon! Set for first week of September.
Spoke to a very friendly deputy about my business and he asked me a few related questions which were well thought out. Anyway, he said I had everything in order and all I needed to bring was my LLC formation papers.

Thanks brother! Yea I was surprised too. Was about to jump into a pool at a resort in San Diego. Glad I had the Apple Watch on. Quickly found a quiet place and had a decent chat. It was a no caller id so I had a good feeling!

March 31, 2021: Mailed off my app.
May 25, 2021: Contacted to schedule an interview
April 14, 2021: $30 App Fee check deposited
June 3, 2021: Interview completed
June 3, 2021: Livescan submitted
August 13, 2021: LASD deputy requested one more piece of info to support my GC and asked if I completed my firearms training. Apparently my app indicated I had completed firearms training but no certificate supplied...think there was a miscommunication as my paperwork included 160 hours of certified handgun training completed before ever applying for the CCW.

Wish there was some level of reciprocity as I attended a CCW course and qualified shooting at a range in TX for my Texas CCW which a copy was made by the interviewing deputy. So waiting for a go ahead to get the CCW firearms training unless my GC gets denied.
