That's a solid 3 hours away from the West Side.
Assuming that most people are from LA since we're in the LA thread.

I suggest we choose something a bit closer, either R66 or Ragghues.

This place is a great location to do shooting training day and has cellphone signals. IT IS ALSO FREE to use. Not many people know about this place due to the location being away from other major cities.
It is about 2 hours drive for me, but it is worth it to drive and shoot. R66 and other ranges charge big money for group training days. I rather you spend that money on ammo for the training.

4/13 submittal to Basically everything complete by 6/22

70 days.

Mine will be almost that fast. Mailed app on April 12, did my interview June 16, live scan firearms portion completed June 20, and doing my training this Saturday June 26.

But then I settle in for the long wait. First to get the "go ahead with training call" (to which I will immediately reply with my training documents already done), and then for the final pickup date.

Is the dirt road to get there traversable in a low to the ground sedan, or is this an SUV or truck only proposition? Looks like a cool spot, but some of the images make it look like a rough dirt road. And I'm stuck with just the sedan.

My process took 130+ days. Submitted in February.

You guys. Who submitted in April and May will most likely get issued in half the time..since live scan is now 3 days instead is 6 weeks.

All issuing letters will be dated on Monday. It looks like the undersheriff signs off on the approvals by bulk on Monday. There was about 12-15 letters next to mine waiting for pick up today.

So let's average 12 pick ups per day. Pick ups seem to happen Tue-Wed-Thursday

2/1 - Application Submitted
2/3 - Delivered
2/9 - Application on hold - denial letter from LAPD required (Because I'm an idiot)
2/19 - Check cashed
4/5 - LASD no long requires denial from LAPD
4/14 - Call to discuss GC
4/21 - Interview & Live Scan
5/15 - CCW Training
5/19 - Livescan Clears (4 weeks)
5/19 - Emailed completed required training certificates
6/21 - Contacted for pick up license
6/23 - Pick Up

Good luck guys. The process, as mentioned, in my last post I think is streamlined now that livescans are a fraction of the time. 7 Deputies working the cases, with more coming from other departments.

AV is really making good on his word of 400% more CCW permits in LA.
