That's not true. The wife got her AZ CCW in about 21 days.

You're 100 days off but that's ok.

I don't have AZ I have Nevada Florida and Utah and yes all took 120 days to complete renewal usually 15 days.

I submitted mine to the San Dimas Station on 4/15 check was cashed 4/23 still no call
emailed them got a response from an email on 6/15 stating that my app was received and I will be contacted when my file has been assigned should I send another email or just wait it out ?

My brother's app was on April 9th and received no calls yet.
He emailed twice in the span of 2 months and received the same response as yours.

While this is generally correct, it was made very clear by the deputy that the DOJ report often makes it to incorrect divisions within LASD and causes delays. Providing the ATI number was recommended (by said deputy) so they can track it down and ensure your LiveScan makes it to your presentation packet. A screenshot as tangible evidence as to why you're reaching out (which they surely won't keep or file) shouldn't hurt, but it certainly doesn't fast track anything.

My deputy was straight to the point and said don't email them about livescan or status updates because 1. it slows down the process 2. if you're impatient and keep asking you can be denied (maybe he was joking but he looked dead serious). My deputy was also the background investigator for potential LASD employment so it's not his first rodeo interviewing people. But he told me straight up that they don't care if it shows "Completed" on the DOJ site and they wait for the actual files to come from DOJ/FBI directly. So pretty much he made it sound like it would "hurt" your chances.

I wouldn't doubt it since they slapped the unit together. Only reason my deputy was doing the interviews was because they're on a hiring freeze due to budget cuts.

I think I may have commented on this before, but god I gotta say again how much this pisses me off. Don't get me wrong, obviously people should use some common sense and don't pester the deputies with emails as that may irritate them off and you don't want that. But these people are public servants. We pay a lot in taxes (at least I know I do) in part to keep them employed. On top of that, we have to politely and happily jump through all their hoops in hopes that they approve us to exercise a constitutional right, while most other states have either shall issue, or full on constitutional carry.

With all that in mind, he is going to be a jerk about the occasional email checking in? That's not cool. Glad my interviewing deputy was a very pleasant and helpful person.

Yep you did weeks ago after I posted about my interview hah. He didn't look too stoked to be doing CCW interviews. He rushed since he was "busy" and had other interviews after mine. But that's how it goes in Commiefornia. We can't have any fun toys...guns...car stuff...they just find ways to take more money from us

I mailed in the application pretty much same time and I was interviewed a month ago. It's hard to say whether it's luck and you're just delayed or if they are questioning your GC. I looked at your post history and you said you left out your employment GC (why?) and used self defense type ones instead. Don't take me as an expert or anything but I think that hurt your chances. If you had an opportunity to use a GC that elevates your risk due to transporting high value items, you should have used that one. Based on my limited information, I do think they sift through each application and go from there.

But, to end on a more positive note, it's likely I am wrong and it was just luck of the draw you will get a call soon

Soon after the application was submitted i started getting emails asking for broadcast equipment to be shipped and transported. In the emails they were declaring the value of the equipment for insurance purposes. Now I have the emails as proof. That's why I did not include them. I emailed the ccw unit about a month ago asking if it was possible to somehow amend my GC statement. They replied the next day to simply wait till my file was assigned to an investigator and I can explain my changes then. You are probably right it hurt my chances but I was not to confident since I had no proof. Now I do. I'm just hoping I get an interview to be able to provide all documentation.

Guys just a quick info. I do not know about California but all my CCW from other states usually takes 120 days to complete. Just imagine if a deputy would take 5 minutes to look for your file and email you its progress just 10 inquiries would take 50 min (almost an hour) of the deputy time just answering email, you are just effectively slowing everybody's process doing this. As of all government issue permits, it takes time and patience is a virtue when it comes to this so

I don’t recall anyone saying they got a flat out denial letter without an interview. I believe everyone gets an interview. You can update your Good Cause then. Just make sure to bring all supporting documents. Mention it to the deputy when he calls you to schedule the interview and he’ll tell you what you need to bring. Good luck
