I mailed in my app to LASD on 7/5/2022 as well. I got the phone interview on 12/1/2023. After the 10 minutes phone interview, the deputy asked me to email him a copy of my driver's license, passport, and Proof of Residency.
(I tried to update the timeline on my signature, but it could not be saved.)07/05/2022 Mailed DOJ App

Curious on this as well? hopefully there is some movement for us July applicants that the unit is finally making their way into November queues.
One thing in curious about? with 2024 just a few days away. I?m assuming after 01/01/2024 LASD will require 16hrs of firearms training? Or will that only apply to those that applied online and/or after August of 2022?
Will we still be honored 8Hrs because of the lack of application processing time?FS: Modlite PL350OKW pistol light, 365 IWB Holster

I agree, the "interview" was just a waste of time going over the application then asking for the documents like licence, proof of residence, etc. If they asked for that stuff, I would say your "interview" is done.Comment

Live Scan done
interview done
ccw class done
emailed ccw cert to investigator on 12/22.
Waiting on approval for final payment / pick up.
I know its 90 days for investigator to get back to you. Does the investigator have to email you back? I have not heard back since i sent him my passing docs. Im guessing no reply until pick up is a good thing and nothing has gone wrong? Im getting antsy something might be wrong, but my record is clean other than a few speeding tickets / one texting ticket lolComment

I?m frustrated with the LAC Sheriff?s delays. I applied on 06/28/22. I was interviewed the first week of July 2023. I received my proceed to training email on about 10/18/23, then submitted all training docs on about 10/21/23. A week later I confirmed that my docs were received. Radio silence since then.Comment

Can you provide more info about this?
Did this happen to you during your interview? And where would you update your "application date" to something more recent?Comment

I haven't had my interview yet (submitted July 2022 and still waiting). But what I've gathered from folks I've spoken with who've recently interviewed, they were asked to update their application date to a few days before their actual interview. Not sure if these are just one-offs or more prevalent.
If more wide-spread, I would read this as LASD actively trying to make it seem as though they're more responsive to CCW applications than they actually are? Maybe in response to the CRPA lawsuit? Obviously, just pure speculation on my part.Comment
