In the past they have not allowed concealed carry at the range. I found this from their rules: https://www.angelesshooting.com/wp-c...8/02/RULES.pdf

    5. No concealed or holstered firearms are permitted unless carried by law enforcement, displaying
their ID?s or badges at all times. There is absolutely NO drawing or shooting from the holster on
    the public range.

Those walking to the backroom werent there to interview for their CCW, they were there to test for a Custody Assistant job. Only reason I know this is because I asked the deputy. The one that took the cake was the guy in flip flops, a tank top, horrible tribal tattoo and Captain Jack Sparrow Hope earrings. He had an amazing Kenny Powers vibe. When I was waiting I did wonder if anyone sitting near me was a forum member.

Bought a Nexbelt edc Titan for a carry belt and a few tenicor holsters. I highly recommend both the belt and the holster. I?m 6? 175lbs, after trying out a few configurations earlier this evening, I?m going with appendix carry. Doesn?t print at all, while the other options do. I may try a smaller holster and see if that makes a difference. Sorry for the lengthy post; just excited that my more than 16 month journey came to a conclusion today.
I go to Angeles once a week in the mornings mostly Mondays or Fridays we may have crossed paths :-) congrats on the card man

There is a range in Stanton where, after passing their holster "exam," you can draw from holster and shoot. There are specific days you can do holster draw fire.

They do. A few weeks ago some members were posting that they were called on a Sunday.

Could you post back here regarding the class? I would be interested to learn more about it as well.

It's $40 and last about 1 hour. You have to sign up on their website.

Holster Draw FT3 will now be offering holster draw hours on the Tactical Range. All participants must complete the Holster Certification Course (see below)

Next available date is Saturday 5/13/23.

Thanks for that. If I'm reading this correctly, you have to take a weekend course but you can only draw on certain days and hours. Mon-Fri only. That's a bummer.

Has anyone in LAPD areas that applied to LASD before the cutoff had any progress recently? I applied LASD in July... wondering if they may have thrown the app out. I requested a place in line for LAPD in Feb 23.

Actually, you should expect it to take that long. Took me a full 12 months until I was called for my interview. Times vary widely, but 10-12 mon isn?t uncommon.
