Self-reporting bozo... read my submitted Livescan paperwork and found the ATI

Bummer. I checked on Permitium and it says they're working on my order. But there's no way I know if my Livescan is submitted aside from having an ATI number, eh?

Update progress as of today 2/17/2024:

Firearms listed- G43X and P365X (I wanted to include my XDS but that was purchased via SSE, so going with those 2 firearms)

2/16/23 - Online application submitted and initial payment.
2/16/23 - Received email confirmation application received.
2/17/23 - Received email with instructions for livescan at Pack and Mail RWC.
2/18/23 - Livescan complete and ATI No. sent back.
1/16/24 - Emailed as to what is my status
1/17/24 - Response stating ?You should be assigned an investigator within next week?.
2/16/24 - Received email to setup interview
One year to the day from application to interview email

2/21/24 - Zoom Interview scheduled.

2/21/24 - Zoom interview with San Mateo Sheriff?s office.
3/01/24 - Paid $150 and completed an online 90 questionnaire.
3/11/24 - 320 Psychological questionnaire followed up with 35 minute interview by doctor.

Next up results of interview sent to Sheriffs Office.

Congratulations! My application has been with Sheriff Corpus for two months since psychological evaluation . Patience is a virtue. Best of luck to everyone in the process.

In my case she went over some of my answers to the 320 questions. I was very honest on the questions. She asked if I had ever been in a fight. Had I ever been stalked or threatened. She asked have I thought about what it would be like to take a life. She asked if that happened and I could not handle it what would I do.

Funny she asked at the beginning to remember 3 words. Apple Car and Pen. I was taking notes and wrote down a,c, p. She said why did you write that down. I said I was nervous and did not want mess up.

She ended with I?ll send the results to San Mateo Sheriff and they will contact you. Who knows she may fail me for not following instructions.

She was NOT very friendly at all. I got the sense she did not like having to do these interviews. I was like the 10th she did that morning.

Maybe 20 minutes total

I attended a training class over the weekend and the instructor mentioned that San Mateo County is now requiring three character references for the application. SB2 - the gift that keeps on giving.

To the approved vendors here: just purchased a 3rd pistol I wish to add onto my permit
- can this only be done at the time of renewal with SMCO Sheriff
- or do I signup for a class to qualify with the new firearm beforehand?
- what are the requirements for qualification with the vendors? Is it just show up at range qual with 50 bullets and shoot the qualification requirements?

As of right now, our understanding is that the County of San Mateo is not allowing modifications to CCW permits absent an extenuating circumstance (like theft or destruction of a firearm). You will most likely need to wait until your permit renews. However, I would reach out to the SO and see if that has changed - we suspect it has not.

Congrats! The SMSO should have provided you a list of qualified vendors for your training, but I can also tell you we have several classes coming up, although they sell out pretty fast right now. You can update the firearms on your permit before final approval. I applied in August and purchased a P320 and P365 when they were added to the roster. Those firearms were not on my original application. Just call or email them and they can update it for you.

Finally heard from the automated system tonight. Permit approved. Paid the fee. Wasn?t provided a list of trainers to contact. Anyone know if an actual person reaches out? Temped to call them in the morning.
